Dead Space 2...

The title might be a bit misleading because dead space 3 was released faailry recently. I had picked up a copy of dead space 2 back when it was first released, but never got around to playing it at all. In an effort to try and start and finish my backlog i decided to boot it up and play it. I was immediately drawn into the world of the Sprawl and had difficutly putting the game down. I bunkered down over the weekend and tore through the second half of the game and beat it. I am rather annoyed at myself for pushing off playing such a wonderful game.

So, with one game off of my ever-increasing backlog, i have turned to The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. I picked it up the day it came out on the 360 last year but was distracted by other games. I am currently working my way through the prologue and cannot wait to get into the meat of the story.

I was thinking of getting into this series seeing as the first two are so cheap now. Did you play the first Dead Space? I hear it's meant to be pretty terrifying

the first one is great. the alien/aliens comparison is quite appropriate. dead space 1 is like alien and 2 is like aliens.

This is the first time I've heard this reference. If only I could have heard your wisdom sooner, I could have saved money and heartache over the recent Alien game.

I'm gonna wait until I play Dead Space 1 and then I'll catch up on 2 and 3

I've got the first Dead Space. I pre-ordered it and got the special edition with the art book. Yet I haven't even started the game. Aw man, got the Backlog Blues...

Anyway, it's cool to read about people tackling their backlogs. Glad to hear you enjoyed the game so much. It inspires me to move the first game up my goddam pile of shame.

I played the first half of Dead Space and I loved it. I was in the process of moving, though, and I put it down and I just haven't picked it back up. I love horror games, so I know I'll finish it soon enough. I'm thinking I might pick up Dead Space 2 on Steam.

Been thinking about picking up Witcher II next month myself. I actually already bought it off GOG for my pc but my pc's punt specs just cannot handle it! Sad indeed!
