My backlog is absolutely atrocious!! Although I have managed to beat some really hard games lately. Like Battletoads Double Dragon and I FINALLY beat TMNT on NES last night. The ending was retarded, but it feels good to be done with it. It only took me like 23 years lol. Embarassed

Man, that is another one of those games, I never beat..Maybe I should add that to my backlog...Way to go Aboboisdaman!! Another game added to the list!!

My backlog is too big for just one blog or picture. I have all these gamecube games that I got when I was younger that I never beat and my newest entrys to the backlog are 360 games like Batman Arkham City, Portal 2 and Mortal Kombat 9.

I have heard that LA Noire is a masterpeice.

LA.Noir is a very good game and if you got it for $4 then you truly did do good.

I can't remember what my backlog looks like, but I wonder if I even want to beat Spirit Tracks now.

It is like that when you have some many games..I am like that..I get overwhelmed with all the games, so the moment i get stuck or bored I am like next game lol

I actually have very few games to beat. That one just ... that last dungeon is so much worse than the Water Temple in OoT ever was. I honestly never understood why the Water Temple was soooo hated, but this. Eff this.

I began a lot of games, but didn't finish most of them.  My backlog is insane.

True Gamer At Heart

08/13/2013 at 08:59 AM

Why don't you stick to one game and beat it..?? Even thou it is hard to do, it can be done!!

The game turns out to be not what I thought it was or I'm not in the mood to continue playing that type of game.  Sometimes, I don't want to think too hard and I just want to relax with something familiar.  It's probably why I play Mass Effect so much.  You have to learn stuff with some new games.  I recently started Trails in the Sky (PSP).  I'm already a hour in and I hadn't done much but read how to play the game.  It's an action/adventure rpg and they've made the game overly complicated with the special/magic system.  I do plan to continue playing, but these are the kinds of annoyances I come across in starting some new games.

I hear you at times you want to play a game that is different than the current one you are playing, Happend to me yesterday..Was playing zelda 2 but got kinda, distracted and wanted to play something different so I popped in LA Noire to change the pace of my gaming!!

I applaud you, sir, for keeping your backlog down. Mine, on the other hand, is ginormous. You can check it out here.

Backlogs....oh, yeah. Let's not talk about mine. No, really. Let's not. I'll just say that the gaming industry could tank for good tomorrow, and I'd be ok for at least five years.

True Gamer At Heart

08/13/2013 at 09:01 AM

Ah I see, so if the gaming world had a crash you would still be trying to catch up lol!!

True Gamer At Heart

I hear ya, I do not have that many games to last me that long but I have just enough to not pay for 60 bucks for a new game when it comes out!!

KnightDriver

My 360 backlog is moving along pretty well on the weekends.  I just finished COD3 and am almost done with Civil War: A Nation Divided. Four more games and I'll be done with my 2006 list. The next three will go quickly but I've got to try and finish Oblivion and that will take a few weeks at least.

My backlog on other systems is stagnating because I just can't get the time in on the weekdays. I've only gotten an hour or two into Ni No Kuni on PS3 and only four or five hours into Okamiden on DS. I'm trying though.

True Gamer At Heart

08/13/2013 at 09:11 AM

Talking about that I have been wanting to play that game pretty bad!! Classic jrpg, turn based style Oh yeah got to get to that game!!

KnightDriver

08/13/2013 at 02:25 PM

It's turn-based but with no real pauses. You have to decide quickly what to do. Every turn has a timer and you have to pay attention to when the timer ends so you can choose another action or the monster will smash you good. You can also just run around the battlefield in real time and pick up gems that pop out of enemies to give you health, magic, or boosts. I'm not that far into the game yet so I still haven't gotten completely comfortable with it.

Sounds like I will enjoy it when I get my hands on it!!

I have far too many to list unfortunately, and I blame steam sales. As for tomb raider, I wasn't overly fond of it. As I recall, my initial impressions read something like this:

Let me start by saying this: Whoever designed the first two hours of Tomb Raider is going to the special hell. After I kill them in a terribly vicious manner that would make Kratos proud, of course. Preferrably ripping out their eyes using a quick time event, which would be an ironic twist of fate seeing as how this insufferable cunt is so fucking fond of them.

Suffice to say I didn't like the first two hours of this game. There was less gameplay than Metal Gear Solid, and more quick time events than Resident Evil 6. That combined with the fact that Lara sounds like a teenager trying to fake an orgasm everytime she gets hurt, in a frustratingly annoying British accent, and it's enough to make me want to rip my hair out. Oh, and not to mention that on PC it doesn't tell you what button to press in the QTE's. it just says press exclamation mark, or press foot. THERE IS NO FUCKING FOOT KEY ON MY KEYBOARD! I'm pretty sure the only person on earth who has that is Quinten Tarrantino, and it's a custom hotkey to his porn collection!

The worst part of this game for me was when Gropey McRape-Choke went all lusty with me, and I had to mash a combination of foot, exclamtion mark, hand, and gun to get past it, and almost every fucking time I'd forget which key one of them was. By the end of that sequence, I'd seen Lara Croft's being choked to death more times that I'd seen a repeat of The Simpsons, and when I finally shot that fucker in the head, Lara's crying over killing him seemed very disconnected to the euphoria I was feeling. Actually, it seemed out of place with everything, since like 2 minutes later she's pulling off head shots and setting people on fire. I suppose it fits with the overarching narrative, because Lara has always been batshit insane.

True Gamer At Heart

08/13/2013 at 09:08 AM

Huh..Well that is something, not a fan of qte myself..But can not say much since I have not played it..Well do a review once done perhaps??  Yeah I hear about steam sales..I tend to have a budget of what i can spend per month, so that helps me get the gaming backlog down!

Still working on CronoTrigger on my PS3. it feels like the proper time to play it since the last time I did was during a summer quite like this one.

True Gamer At Heart

08/13/2013 at 09:09 AM

AH YES, there is nothing like playing a rpg in the summer time..I have many memories playing rpg's during the summer!!

So far I managed to beat Uncharted, but I don't want to move onto Uncharted 2 though until I get those last 2 trophies in the first game. I'm almost there though.. almost...

True Gamer At Heart

08/14/2013 at 09:33 AM

Trophies..Oh you are one of those guys lol..Well good luck..I am quite impatient!! So I can not get all of them lol!!

I really am one of those guys, however...

I really liked Uncharted, so I don't mind playing through it again! If I didn't like it, then I wouldn't really bother with it.

True Gamer At Heart

08/14/2013 at 12:43 PM

I do not blame you uncharted is one of those games to replay over and over since it is a solid title.

I probably knocked off about a dozen games from my backlog this year, but then over the past two month I probably added that number back on.

True Gamer At Heart

08/14/2013 at 12:42 PM

Backlog is like weight, You can lose the weight but then all of a sudden you gain it rightback lol.
