Blaestorm: The Hundred Year War: is a real time tactics game and is published by Koei and developed by Omega Force, the game is based on the Hundred years war between England and France in the 14th and 15th centuries.

The games story line goes like this, in the game you play as a user created mercinary that gets random missions assigned to you from both England and France theres usually 4 to 5 missions assigned at a time from both sides, story line missions that are required to play in order to get cut scenes to progress through the game, in some missions its not uncommon to be battling Prince Edwards in one mission to working with Joan of Arc on another the missions themselves are all random. You do have the option to create a male or female character although they are limited, when you complete enough levels you raise your fame, the missions in Bladestorm are alot like Koeis Kessen if you have ever played that one, you often have a set number of days to complete each mission, some missions have optional missions that will reward you with extra fame and gold and with gold you can buy upgrades for lets say, swordsmen, calvary etc.

Also not only do you get fame you can level up squads with experience to make them better which give the game a sort of personal touch, one cool aspect for me was trying to level each squad type enough so they were all leveling at a constant rate which gave it a Pokeman leveling feel to it, theres is also items which can be found on the battlefeild as well and purchased from the mervhant between missions.

Theres alot more to this game then what i said but despite the fact that most reveiws on this game were bad i found the game very well done and extremely addicting and like so many under the radar games people who have no clue and playing just to reveiw it are giving a good game they dont understand or have no interest in a bad name and have no buisness even trying to reveiw it. The graphics are nothing special but do the job and do have some cool effects, the music and voice acting do very well making you beleive your in the 14 century, and the sounds of horses, swords clanging sound very good, the gameplay is great once you figure out what your doing, and one word of caution this game has a steep learning curve but is worth the effort and a game i would highly recommend.

My Score 4 out of 5 Very Good

This looks decent. Interesting timeline to base the game around too. I kinda wish more games did their own take on historical events other than WW2

Dynasty Warriors clone? Not criticizing, just asking.

I like the setting a lot. I usually prefer that sort of medeival warfare to high-tech weaponry if given the choice. Might be because of the swords in it. I will definitely be watching for this game.
