Holy moley! Another blog from me! Actually I am just taking a break from work at the moment because I feel my brain is about to explode from typing up a Design document. I hope everyone had a good weekend! (even though two days later saying that) My weekend was interesting and busyish.

I helped my mom clean a friend apartment and I got $50 out of it huzzah! I completely forgot how long it actually takes to clean an entire place...but then again it would have went a bit faster had it not been months of dust piling up. It was very tiresome. Alas I did not get to play Xillia on Saturday, like I wanted to because of this and then going food shopping. So instead I made it an anime day! What exciting anime was I watching?

Free! is a swimming club anime and it's the second sports anime I actually really really like. I doubt there will be a second season for it but never can say never about things like that! It's a nice watch in my opinion. The story is the typical a group of friends got split up but suddenly come together again. Unfortunately their one friend Rin, wasn't the same and had quit swimming, he goes to a different school than the other 3 and doesn't wish to really get along with them. So in order to get Rin back into swimming Haruka, Makoto, Nagisa, and new comer Rei create a swim team in order to compete against Rin.

The next anime is called Genei wo Kakeru Taiyou. This anime reminds me a lot of Madoka Magicka, but with Tarot Cards and not as super confusing. It still is a bit of a dark anime but again very enjoyable! The story revolves around a group of girls who are unable to escape their fate of fighting in this gruesome fight. All the while they struggle with why they have to do this and if there may be a better way to go about the fight.

Inu to Hasami wa Tsukaiyou is a not so serious anime but still can have its moments. It's about a boy who loves, I mean LOVES, to read. He is renting out 2 apartments, one for him and the other for his library. One day he is out and about and luck has it he runs into a robbery gone wrong. He ends up protecting a woman who was writing and ends up getting killed. Turns out he wakes up in the body of a dog and this crazy woman with siccors can hear what he says as a dog. Turns out the lady was the one he protected and is none other than his absolute favorite author. So they end up living together and thus begins their crazy life together!

Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi is a very interesting anime, it has taken a different turn from what I thought it was gonna have. Which I mean it changed a lot. It's a story about how God has abandoned the world, as a result no one can reproduce or die. A little girl named Ai is the gravekeeper for a village. She ends up meeting a man called Hampnie Hambart, aka the man eatting toy. This is a happy moment for Ai as it's the name her dead mother told her was her father. Sadly he ends up slaughtering Ai's village and she has no idea why. It's such an interesting story concept how the living and dead coexist in the world and that the gravekeepers are actually no very well liked throughout it since they are ment to bury the dead. A highly recommend this as a must watch!

Makai Ouji: Devils and Realist, another good anime. It does kind of have some shoun-ai tendencies (light boy love) but it's not over bearing. It's about this boy named William who suddenly can no longer pay for his school tuition because he is now broke. So he ends up searching his home for something to sell but stumbles upon a summoning circle and unintentionally summons a devil. This devil turns out to be named Dantalion and tells William he is the designator and that he has the ability to pick the acting ruler of the demon world. William thinks he is nuts because he is a realist, hence in the title, and does not want to select a ruler. It is a pretty funny anime but also has the serious moments. It blends them nicely though where it's not super funny and then suddenly out of no where a serious moment happens.

Servant x Service is an anime going about the everyday life of a civil servant in Japan. I love this anime, it reminds me a lot of Working!!. You have three new hires who each bring their own talent to the job, their boss a pink bunny, a higher up who is pretty useless for working as long as his has that has a sister with a big brother complex, and a temp who is a huge fan of cosplaying. My favorite character in this is Hasebe because he is the new higher that slacks off all the time but he is super knowledgeable in various things. He literally shocks everyone with when he comes to the rescue and somehow turns the situation from bad to easy. If you ever saw Working!!, you will most likely like this anime as well.

Gaming wise I dove in all day this past Sunday into Tales of Xillia. I finished Chapter 1 yesterday in the game and I am loving it! I have been obsessed with trying to get everything possible in my first play through. I am running through it as Jude first and then Milla eventually. I will say I am not crazy about how they removed the overworld and turned it into something similar to FFXIII but I do like how they give you a main map to fast travel between places. I do like how they changed the way you acquire artes and the upgrade to the shops. I was not super crazy about the story right away but it has been slowly growing more and more on me. Not to say the story is terrible, it is a good story. I just feel it took a little to pick up a bit and get going.

I am hoping to have some of my crating projects up by this week and to start up my Personal blog again over on Wordpress! So that's my next plan of attack!

Anyways, back to work! Hope everyone has a good rest of the week!

You got a lot of anime watching in! Your weekend good wishes are timely for me, as today is effectively my Saturday. Up until a few minutes ago, it was a planned "stay in my pjs and watch movies all day" day, but Jason needs a place to hang out until his ride gets out of work. Oh, well. Needed to register my car anyway.

What's the first sports anime that you really really like? I would have to say Eyeshield 21 is at the top for me, followed by in no particular order: Captain Tsubasa, One Outs, Giant Killing, Cross Game, Major. At least those are the ones I can recall for now, and there's also a few that are either manga only (Fantasista) or I haven't had the chance to watch the anime (Hajime no Ippo).

I really really like Kuroko's Basketball. I am honestly not a HUGE sports anime watcher but I do watch some every now and then. I also need to be in a certain mood to watch them.

Indeed it is! I watched about 18 episodes total from what I already didn't see. I am actually watching another 3 but two of them are shorts and the other I am waiting for it to finish airing and then marathoning the rest of it.

Inu to Hasami seems really interesting. The concept and relationship dynamics are a cut above the usual. Thanks for the suggestions!

It is interesting and very funny. Certainly does have its strange moments but thats what makes it better.

Yeah, I got $200 off my laptop for painting the house, which is still technically unfinished, but I helped my mom out with plenty of other stuff too. Sanding, then dusting, then painting. Oy. The painting is actually the easiest part to me, just takes a while.

That's a lot of anime. lol

And maybe you can help Blake and his professor with his Wordpress blog. lol

I actually use to watch a lot more anime during a new anime season. But lately they haven't been coming out with a whole lot that I actually find interesting.

And I probably could help him out! I'm not a big expert on it but I kinda know my way around WordPress.

Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi looks very interesting. Just the concept that you can't reproduce or die (by aging I presume) caught my attention. I'll try to check, but right now I have Death Note, Code Geass and Durarara!!! as top priorities.

You assume correct! Actually people don't really age much. But it's very very interesting. After watching what you're on now I say watch it after you finish them.

Inu to Hasami wa Tsukaiyou sounds totally nuts! But I love it. I think I am a little like the main character. I would totally have two apartments with one to hold all my books and then fall in love with my favorite author after my mind got put into a dog. Wait. Huh?

haha XD it can be a pretty nutsy anime but I am loving it!

I wish you could hear me trying to pronnounce those anime titles in my head, lol

And I've seen you playing Xillia lately, glad to hear that it's growing on you!

FAF101

08/14/2013 at 12:21 PM

LOL I can just hear the murder of the names. That's okay my pronunciation is not much better.

Yeah I see you log off....log on....log off again...log on again lol. I think is it the network kicking him off or does he just turn on and off his system a lot? lol I am actually almost done with chapter 2 I believe in Xillia. I am not gonna lie played a little during my work hours today (bad me) and I had to stop after I got to a certain point otherwise my work day would have been shot lol

LOL!!! Actually......

Cooper keeps grabbing a PS3 controller and turning the console on, and I shut it off right away. So that's why that normally happens, lol

I'm the opposite nearly in that i'd like to watch more anime but there are too damn many games to play. 1st world problems huh... Some of those titles sound fun, I might have to check em out. I watch most of my stuff on Netflix so hopefully some of them are on there.

FAF101

08/14/2013 at 12:22 PM

I know what you mean! It's hard to sometimes balance out what I wanna do at times.

Since they just came out they wont be on Netflix, if they get licensed and brought over by FUnimation or Aniplex or something then they may have a shot to eventually make it on netflix. Otherwise I know a few sites you can check out for them!

08/14/2013 at 01:39 PM

Yeah that'd be cool if you could let me know. Thanks! For me, the hardest thing about Anime is actually finding a show I want to stick with. Blogs like this help me a lot

Glad I am able to help ya! I'll be posting more anime as I watch them ^_^

I'm enjoying Free! I know this anime is aimed squarely at girls, but the story is pretty good and the fanservice is done in a way that it's actually kind of funny.

I'm also watching Service x Service. It's not quite as good as Working! but it is definitely for the same crowd.

One other show I'm enjoying from this season is Watamote. The whole show takes place inside the mind of a girl with no friends. I'm finding it quite funny and it has a different style of storytelling from the typical show.

FAF101

08/19/2013 at 01:22 PM

Agreed. Not gonna lie main reason I wanted to start watching it was because of hot animated men lol.

Working! is better than Service x Service I do agree with you there on that.

I know there are some other series I wanted to watch like Blood Lad but I have to go watch them else where cause Crunchyroll decided not to do a lot of the animes I wanted to watch. But I'll have to see if that is on there!

Halochief90

08/19/2013 at 08:46 PM

Blood Lad's exclusive to Viz's streaming site as they licenced the title and they (along with Funimation) rarely ever let Crunchyroll stream their titles. It's a shame, but I guess it's business.

Watamote is on Crunchyroll as I'm watching it on there lol!

FAF101

08/21/2013 at 03:41 PM

Awesome!

And yeah I know whoever gets the license is a really sickler bout giving it to others. Which I understand. Thats why there is always Hulu....and other random sites I can find it to stream off eventually. Just not on my top atm otherwise I would be watching almost the entire summer season! lol

NSonic79

08/17/2013 at 02:01 PM

and where can we watch these interesting animes? I need something to new to watch, rewatching Full Metal Panic/Alchemist can only take me so far.
