I read that the Pokemon editions of 3DS XL sold like 100,000 units in Japan already. I wonder how many of those people already had a 3DS XL and just want a new one with the X/Y logo on there?
Possible Additions to Pokemon X/Y

Since last year we’ve seen a lot of new content in Pokemon X/Y, making the new generation the biggest installment in the series. That series is practically getting a huge upgrade from generation five: full 3D models and animation with 3D, the new Player Search System, Pokemon Amie, Super Training, Mega Evolution, more battle mechanics, and more. Despite all the new content, however, I do have some wishes and predictions for X/Y so I have a short list of my thoughts and pipedreams for the upcoming Pokemon games.
Pedometer function with the Day Care
Thanks to the Pokewalker for Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver players have managed to easily level their pokemon and get some exercise by walking everywhere with the device. With the Gyro Sensor in the 3DS this feature can be added in the Day Care for Pokemon X/Y, making it easy for players to level on the go.
Game Corner
One of the places I would like to see make a return is the Game Corner. While I barely played the slots or any mini game in those buildings it would be nice to have one in the new generation. Personally I believe a major selling point to go to the Game Corner would be the introduction of Blackjack. Blackjack is one of the easiest casino games to learn and perhaps could be the most addicting mini game that could be added to the Game Corner.
DLC
We now live in the time where everything can get an update and new content. Nintendo has been coming around with DLC with some for some titles such as New Super Mario Bros. 2 for the 3DS and Fire Emblem Awakening, and Pokemon X/Y might have some potential. While special pokemon distributions are nice there is room for additional content like items, newly added pokemon, or other content that can be up for download after release.
This is all I could think of but even if these features are not present generation six is still going to be a great addition to the series, perhaps as great as generation 2.
