Over G Fighters:is a flight simulator developed by Taito Corporation and released by Ubisoft on June 27, 2006 in North America, Over G is the first actual flight sim on the 360 and yes this is the only true flight sim on the 360 of course you have IL Sturmovik and Birds of Steel but Over G makes no mistakes about what it is the missions to the take offs and landings are done in simulator style.

The in cockpit is a replica of the actual jet.

Make no mistake this isnt just a shooter like most flight games are on the 360. The game is only $2.99 at Gamestop and if you like flight sims then this is a great buy, the game is huge and although the mission variation is mixed well, this is a flight sim and some missions are go to your waypoints drop your payload and return that simple and not very action oreinted butjust like in real life not all missions were glorified shootouts but dont let this fool you there is missions that are as action packed as any movie, alot of the game takes you on land and aircraft carrier take offs and just like real life you use the radio for take off and landing clearance, you hold traffic patterns and do full landings and take offs, like i said this is a simulator.

So the single player mode revolves around a group of multi-national fighter pilots in the fictional Energy Airforce in the near future. After Terrorist outbreaks across the world threaten glibal security these brave pilots spearhead an assault against the terrorist, you have alot of modern planes to choose from that are replicated very well, you can choose from different Aviators who each have different abilities like a specialty in Russian and European Aircraft or modern Naval and attack Aircraft, the game has a very lengthy campaign from dogfights to bombing, secret missions, etc and unlike most flight sims Over G uses real name jets and weapons, and the real world locations are real as well, really the only thing fictional is the war, and as a simulator you can run out of fuel and weapons and real damage can effect flight.

This is a very good flight sim that got very little recongnition and although its very tedious because after all its a flight sim it is also alot of fun for flight enthusiasts, the graphics are plane but done well and the music and sound effects are done good the voice acting can be a little dramatic at times but definently not a deal breaker, so over all i really like the game of course im a flight sim enthusiast to but you do have option to simplify controls to mote of an arcade fighter if you choose, it does have online modes but since you will not find anyone to play online its pretty much obsolete so im not going to bother even discussing it, but the single player experience is very fun and if you like flight sims go for it if not this one may not justify the $3 price tag.
