I started playing Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake but now I decided to switch (Metal) Gears and start playing

Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker

I hope I can finish the game this time around. I played it on the PSP and I made it up to the 3rd? Boss Battle.  And that is where I stopped tonight.  I never could get past that Boss Battle. I really felt like it was designed for co-op.

Anyway. I stopped playing tonight and I will start fresh tomorrow. We'll see how it goes.

One of the reasons Im not too hyped for Peace Walker is that you can not just save your game. You have to finish the current mission you are on before it will auto save. But that is still not the main reason I am not too thrilled with this game. I can not tell you because it would be a major spoiler.  If you really just have to know..message me and  I will tell you.

Maybe after I finish the game my outlook will change. It is a fun game. It's sort of a mission based game and as you progress through the game you can go back and replay missions with better weapons and such to get a better rank.  It's also a strategy game. You have to assign members to certain tasks to get better results. Poor management and your game will suffer!

I really cant wait to get deeper into the game because it has a lot to offer and the CQC is freaking awesome!

I'll try tp post updates as often as possible and maybe I wont switch gears again!  haahahha

Lee:  Yeah in Peace Walker you capture enemy soldiers and assign them to units.  Combat, Medical, Intel, Messhall, and a couple of others. If you do not have a good mess hall staff, the food will be bad and the teams morale will go down and members will rebell. It the same with every unit so you have to assign each member to a unit according to his skills.

Your wearing either switching Guility Gear, Gears of War, or Metal Gear. We all knew it had to be Metal Gear. That is definitely your thing, the other two not so much.

I'm considering picking up the recent Metal Gear collection for this game and MGS1:VR Missions. The set is such a great deal, but I pretty much own all the games already.

I played the demo of Peace Walker but it just felt like bit-sized Metal Gear to me. Nothing special. I feel I need to play it to prepare for MGSV though.

Halo:   I own them all too but I might still get the legacy collection.  Understand though MGS1 and MGSVR are downloads.  Anyway, I would suggest at least playing MGS4 again in anticipation of MGSV.  The controls will probably be the same.

The save issue was the same reason why I didn't get into it on the PSP. When you have a portable you should be able to save on the fly whenever, whereever! Break that rule and the game is better off on consoles.....

Yeah, it doesnt make any sense.  also, you get killed and you have to restart the mission. I can only play the game when I know Im not gonna be interrupted.
