I almost started Fire Emblem. I just bought a 3DS and I wanted to start Fire Emblem or Shin Megami Tensei IV. I decided to start SMT4 and when I finish it, I plan to play FE:A next.
I can't think of a proper title

Recently I have been listening to the shut up and sit down podcast. It has been quite entertaining and has gotten me into the mood to play more and more board games. While I may have a greater desire, I am having difficulty actually playing them. The biggest problem is that I do not have a large enough group at my disposal for the time being. Another problem is Fire Emblem Awakening. Fire Emblem is all that I think about nowadays and all I try to do with my free time. Getting back to board games… I got my Kickstarter copy of Boss Monster just over a month ago and had only played it once. Over the weekend I had the opportunity to play it again with some of my cousins. The game is so much better once you know how to actually play it. When I first played it, my brother and I were making it up as we went along because we did not really have the patience to read the wonderfully NES era rulebook. The game is awesome and I am so glad that I kickstarted it. I also recently picked up a copy of the cave, but have yet to play a round. I am quite excited about it and hope to get around to it soon.
A return to the topic of Fire Emblem. I am nearly 6 hours into Fire Emblem Awakening and am surprised that I have not quit the game yet. Normally at this point in tactical RPGs I become frustrated with them and just quit. It happened with Advanced Wars, Tactics Ogre, Final Fantasy Tactics and plenty of others that I cannot remember. I absolutely love Fire Emblem and have been thinking about it, or playing it nonstop since I picked it up. I have not touched Xenoblade Chronicles since I picked up Fire Emblem. This means that this is serious, because I have only been playing one game at a time all year. I love the cast of characters and am just trying to get as many married couples on my team as I possibly can. I should probably focus more on leveling up some of my lesser used characters, but the marriages more fun. Anyways, I cannot wait to jump back into the game.
Sony just finished up their Gamescon conference a little bit ago. I was paying a little attention to it and have come away with a few thoughts. Firstly, I am glad that I canceled my PS4 pre-order. It just so happens that the PS4 is released the week before my wedding anniversary. I highly doubt that my wife would be pleased if I spent our anniversary playing Killzone. So, I like being reaffirmed that I made the right call. I did not think that it would be possibly, but I want a PS Vita even more. I know that the majority of games that they announced are indie, but it still excites me. I was not expecting to hear that Borderlands 2 is coming to the Vita. It will be a little late, but I suppose better late than never. If it does well enough, I wonder if more companies will port PS3 games to the Vita.
In case I lost anybody along the way. Board games are cool and I want to play the more often. Fire Emblem is amazing, and I cannot wait to get back into it. The PS Vita is becoming a more compelling piece of hardware.
On a side note, I have been listening to this song a lot recently. Not quite sure why... Of course, I cannot find an easily linkable video, or maybe I am an idiot.
Band: Smoking Popes. Song: Blanket in the Park.
