I like the little trophy noise that it gives! That itself could be incentive enough to get a trophy for me.

I never really payed Attention to that until you said something.

Not really. I kind of care about achievements. I try to get them but rarely go out of my way for any. Trophies, however, don't have the same draw for me.

I have no idea when it started really. I find myself playing the game just for the trophies. I hopefully will cool off soon.lol.

I only try to collect them if I love the game.  

Yes, If the game was okay I will try to get the trophies but if I did not care for it I really do not try.

Oh yes. It was almost like pokemon for me: gotta catch'em all!. But then I started to focus more on trying to get a trophy than I was in just trying to have fun with a game. When trying to get the trophies were becoming a chore I stopped my Trophy hunt. Now if the quest for getting it is fun/worth it I'll give it a go. But it the trophy is a pain in the butt to get I'll let it go.

It still happens off and on for me but I try to step back and ask myself if this was really worth my time in getting this achievement/trophy. Sometimes the answer is yes but mostly it's been no, espeically with those insane tasks/online only ones.

That is were I am right now. I am so focused on getting those stupid trophies.lol.

I like to get trophies and achievements when they're fun to get.

It started that way, now I am just trying to get them.

I turned off trophy notifications as soon as the update was available.

Very smart.

It's a case by case basis. I'll take a look at the achievement/trophy list and if they sound like they're reasonably obtainable, I'll go after it. Most of the time I fail at it. All you have to do is look at my PSN/XBL profile to see that. I may never get a Platinum trophy but I can't say it really matters.

I fail too, but I just keep plugging away like some insane person.lol.

I have so many games I need to play or finish its hard to dedicate that much time. That said I have played through Borderlands 2 12 1/2 times, maxed out 4 of 6 characters, and I still have only managed to get 76% of the trophies. Overall across all my games I got seven golds and have yet to get a platinum. I like getting them but so far I have not really gone out of my way to get any.

I can understand that.

Since I've been working on 360 achievements, I've grown curious about Trophies on PS3. I got almost all of them for Akimi Village (I need a friend to share items for the last trophy). I think I might look up a web site and see if there's one with guides like the one for 360 achievements. Those were helpfull.

I need some one with Resistance BS on the Vita to do a online match to get 100% for it.

At $200 now, I really want a Vita. I'm so close to pulling the trigger. I tried one out at GameStop today. It's a pretty cool device.

If I have to do multiple playthroughs though, I usually skip the trophy/achievement unless I really like the game. For instance; I'm trying to platinum Uncharted right now, luckily I liked it enough that I don't mind working on my third playthrough!

But if it's something I hated, I'll just finish my initial playthrough and shelf the game.

I went through a phase where I was trying harder for Achievements than I was having fun in the game so I took a big step back. If they're fun, I'll go for 'em, but otherwise I don't get too hung up on them. It's a phase, Larry. You'll grow out of it .
