I commented about VITA and Indie games already in a similar post. VITA just isnt selling well enough to get major devs to make big games for it like we want them too, so at the very least besides PS+, PSP and PSOne games for VITA, Sony is filling in that game drought with Indie games. Indie games tend to take up smaller space on your memory card, they are more affordable, and you can have a large library of these games on VITA, so I think it's a good thing.
I've been playing the hell out of FF Tactics, Tactics Ogre and Persona 4 as well as some PSOne FF games on VITA so I don't need more games really, but the VITA does in order to survive.
I would love for Minecraft to appear on WiiU. The game pad is perfect for tools. I've read many great things about Killzone VITA so hopefully it will be good.
Gamescom Impressions

I been lately enjoying Tales of Xillia. I need to go back to Dragon's Crown. I prematurely buy to many games. I have the new Splinter Cell sitting on the shelve. I don't know when I will get to it and when I do, it probably will have a price drop. Anyway, I wanted to give my opinion on Gamescom.
I counted the days to Gamescom expecting and hoping for some big unveils from Sony. Did it happen? It wasn't from the extent I was hoping. I found out by watching the show, it was more impressive than just going by what was announced through articles. For the longest time I screamed on the internet that indie titles should be cross play/cross buy on the PS3/Vita. I had even posted it on the playstation blog in the idea section which though never seems to get updated. It is happening now and more so than ever seeing the focus of it at Gamecom and before at E3. This is what I wanted and its happening. This will make it easy to choose between some games that go multiplatform if I wanted to play it just on Microsoft's system or Sony's with the ability for on the go as well.
Now with that said, I expected something big from Sony. I was hoping a big unveil from Sony Santa Monica, Quantum Dreams, Naughty Dog, or Media Molecule. There was nothing. What they did though was cement in my mind that Infamous: Second Son and Killzone: Shadow Fall are going to be two great games. I came away also more impressed with Xbox One's Dead Rising 3 and a bit more open to Ryse. I wasn't too impressed with a Fable annnouncement. Ironically I probably would have been more excited for it if it was a new IP. It is pretty creative having someone play a villian. The biggest surprise to me was Borderlands 2 coming to the Vita. That is big but its so late and so is getting Minecraft at this point. If they had some cross play/cross buy with Minecraft than that would be huge. Anyway, indies are looking bigger than ever and for good reason. I am excited for my Vita to be a indie powerhouse and stoked to play Hotline Miami: Wrong Number on it.
