Final Fantasy 14 uhm...issues

Well due to either incompetance on the part of Gamestop or Square Enix or both I first got screwed out of my early access and bonus dlc perks for preorder. I still plan to call both and complain although I doubt it will get me anywhere. That and the set up for this game has been nothing but confusing. I'm still waiting for it to download some more stuff (85 minutes to go).I have not even got a chance to build my character ot pick a world. And most of the worlds are already maxed out. I'm frustrated and annoyed to say the least. When I get to the point where I can choose which world I'm on I'll let ya'll know. The one good thing I have read is that eventually they will set up a feature that allows you to travel between worlds. So even if some of end up in other places we'll eventually get to hook up, if it all goes as planned. So if anyone else is getting on today let me know where your at. Laters.

That's too bad! When the game gets going it gets good. All these trip ups and missteps is going to piss off a lot of people. There are some die hards that are waiting it out a couple of weeks until SE gets their shit together. I don't blame them. As for me, well I was lucky in being a legacy player, so I got full access yesterday and I got my old character back from 1.0 with all my old stuff, and classes leveled up. So I like SE for that. I also got onto my old server "Balmung" which is a legacy server. I was able to play last night for a while.

Yeah. It's getting bad. I hate to say it. I've seen post regarding lawsuits for bad products and players feeling cheated for poor early access and woes and troubles regarding DLC and so forth. When we can switch servers or server traffic lets up maybe we can all play on a backup world with ALT characters. We have up to 8 I think, so all we can do is wait. I haven't had too bad a time like otherse, so I might be biased.

I hope you get some enjoyment dude. The game can be fun. Launch is definitely a disaster again.

Sometimes Balmung gets full, but you can try to find me and we can level up fast if you like. I'm on US West Coast time.

Well so far everytime I think I have found a world that is open I get a message saying its full. Courel, Lamia, Goblin, Fairy, Adamantois, all seem open till I try and join. They have really fumbled this badly. I have been at this most of the day.When or if I can get on I'll look for ya.

yeah the world is online status, but could also be full of players, locking you out. I think because no one is subscribing the first month SE figures let the players become beta testers, this game doesn't need to work. Oh the backlash will come swift and hard. I could only get on late at night, so everybody must be on right now. It's only Day 2.

Well I just managed to get onto the Japanese server Carbuncle, so I guesse I will play there till the western servers thin out. I hope they get this clear up, still pissed about not getting my exclusives, oh well.

Leveling is faster when in a group. I like the social aspect of MMOs too, so leveling is whatever. I like fishing, which is just leisure according to devs.

Sucks to hear the launch isnt going well, I was hopeing to nab the game again on friday but since all this is going down Ill wait it out like I originally planned. Maybe not till the ps4 release of course but once this intial mess phase is over i will. Sorry you have been having a rough time :(

Well I managed to get onto a japanese server and there are a lot of other "gaijen" here so its workin out more or less. This is my first time playing an MMO and so far I'm liking it.

So you can play in English on Carbuncle? Are there any login issues? Maybe our Pixlbit group should play there. I don't think JP servers are having issues. Which city are you in? Let's just play on Carbuncle. I'll await a reply.

Yeah its in english and no problems getting in. In fact I was able to get into a world on the first try. I started in Thanalan (or is it Thalanan ) and thats where I'm still at.

So they are shutting down all the world servers for maintenance tonite. Better just wait it all out. Derp!

Yeah hopefully they can get it figured out. I 'm totally cool with playing in Carbuncle. From what I could tell it looked like a 50/50 mix of japanese and western players. And I didn't have any issues of slow down or long load times.
