Amazing VG Themes: Something Different

Hey everyone, so I decided to do something different today. Instead of the usual VG songs, I've got for you four songs which I remixed from four of my favorite games. I sent these to Overclocked Remix, but they were rejected for some reason or another. However, these songs are not bad; far from it. The people at OCR are just very picky. So I thought I'd share them with you. Let me know what you think.
Sparks Will Fly from Sparkster/Main Theme/Originally composed by Kazuhiko Uehara, Masahiro Ikariko, Minako Matsuhira, Michiru Yamane, and Akira Yamoka
Sparkster is a fantastic game with a fantastic soundtrack. This was one of my first remixes; I kept it pretty simple, with piano, strings, clean electric guitar, and the techno sound. It's a really great main theme, giving this sense of adventure and freedom. Hopefully I captured that sense in this remix.
Hyrule's Hope from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past/Main Theme, Dark World Theme, Zelda's Theme, Title Theme/Originally composed by Koji Kondo
This one starts off dark and ominous, then becomes exciting as the dark world theme plays; eventually the transition is made to the adventurous main theme. I really enjoyed working on this one. I was able to incorporate strings, trumpets, piano, and timpini into this one. Later on, a flute comes in and a harp as well. I hope you enjoy it.
Balloon Kid Main Theme for Piano/Originally composed by "Hip" Tanaka
You can read my review of this classic Game Boy game here. I have always loved this game's main theme. It's just so memorable and fun. So here I actually cracked my fingers and did a solo piano arrangement. I don't really play piano much, usually just for fun. I hope this can be a song which you can enjoy for its beauty and greatness.
A City in Darkness from Nightshade/Main Theme, Investigating Theme/Originally composed by Marshall Parker
This is another game which I reviewed; check it out if you like, it's a great game. This remix starts off very mysteriously, as Nightshade is some kind of super hero/detective who takes to the streets to stop a deadly Egyptian deity from trying to take over the city. The reason for the sitar is because the villain is Egyptian, so I thought it would make the song more true to the game (and more interesting too). Overall, I personally think this remix is great, and I don't understand why OCR rejected it, but what do I know?
