Coud it be the Devbill? The First Power( 1990 ) starring Lou Diamond Phillips as Detective Russell Logan. The movie begins with Lou's character tracking down a serial killer, after the quick trial the Killer is put in the gas chamber. Is it over? Oh Hell no the fun is just beginning. What no one realizes is that the Serial killer has the"first power" one of three powers that can only be given by God or Satan, and being a Devil Worshiper guess where he got it. Filled with supernatural thrills, this movie is a nice watch as Suspense/ thrillers go.

Well, I give this movie a 4 out of 5. I hope you can find it. I have checked and it is not on Netflix.

oh god I was watching a low budget Lou Diamond Phillips movie yesterday, a remake of John Wayne's "Angel and the Badman". IT was terrible!!!!

Lou Diamond Phillips is cool though.

I kinda liked it. Not as good as the original, but I didn't think it totally sucked.

oh you've seen it? yeah, it isn't THAT bad, but it does have Luke Perry with an eyepatch.

Luke Perry never did much for me. Lou Diamond Phillips on the other hand...

I think i saw this one a while back and if i remember correctly i may even have it on vcr mmm i will have to dig for it. but it is a good movie.

So what's the split on the powers, God gives two, Satan gives one, or the other way around? Or is it they can each give the same powers, just depends on who you're worshipping?

they can be given by either one. The first power is resurrection.

Ah ok. Sounds interesting, too bad Netflix does not have it. Might watch Tucker and Dale here at some point though, I've been meaning to get to it since your blog on it.

I think I remember this one. One of my teacher's got some kids in trouble over this movie when he started to sport that "pentagram" in the inside of his hand. A few of them even drew it in their hands themselves. Thsi was back when i was in 5th grade too.

You know, during Halloween we had a teacher that would bring in the Friday the 13th Movies and we would watch them.lol. Some folks just do not get it is fantasy.
