Naval Assault: The Killing Tide is developed by Artech Studios and published by 505 games on June 15th 2010. Naval Assault is a simulation a submarine sim to be exact but if your thinking Silent Hunter you better think again, its a sim in the sense of basic with a arcade feel and the arcade aspect is when your using the deck guns.

The deck gun is very arcadey

Everything else is a sim you have control of 3 depths you have a periscope to line up your torpedo shots etc you captain a arsenal of U.S submarines theres 30 missions throughout the game and stealth and cunning play a huge part for success, my problem with the game is 1 very simplicity and gets very repetitive because of it, then theres the AI which is quite frankly is dumber then a box of rocks.

But all the faults aside part of me was pleased with each time I placed a well placed torpedo, and the freedim to go and do what you want and when you shoot your torpedo it can be aimed wherever you want to hit the ship.

The graphics are very good and I was pleased with it the sound and voice acting and the explosions were done well to the gameplay and controls are right on the money really only the simplicity and dumb AI are the only knocks but for the price its worth playing and its as close to a sub sim that you will find on the 360.

My score 3 out of 5 good

Neato! Those graphics do look good. I can now put down Sea Wolf and play a real Submarine sim.
