Big Job Change for me

Well as of Friday there were huge changes in my schools if you remeber I have been taking care of 4 elementarys and 1 Middle school for 7 years well friday I was informed that I am taking over a Highschool and loosing my elementarys so I must admit this is a huge shock for me so instead of actively going to different schools all day I will be stuck at a highschool and I will have a office but the high school I am going to was poorly maintained and will keep me very very busy im not to happy with this change since all my schools we're maintained ver good and now someone else comes in to take over so I feel kinda used but im trying to be positive and think this is my chance to make the school better and shiw what a valuable employee I am but at the same time sad cause I dont like change.

That sucks man, but change is always an oppurtunity to better yourself! What do you do for a living though, I think I've missed the blogs where you've talked about that.

Im a maintenance tech for a school district basicly I fix up schools repair drinking fountains repair flush valves on toilets etc.

$17 an hour not to bad get anywhere from a 5% to 3% anual raise per year I think I started at $14.90 seven years ago.

I work with a guy who used to do maintance for a High School. Boy does he have some stories to tell of that!

As much as it sucks to change I think this could be a great opportunity. It sounds like the high school can use someone who will actually care about the state of the school itself. Maybe they just have a lot of faith in your abilities.
