Blizzard’s groundbreaking  RPG series is making a return to consoles.Diablo III now has a solid launch window for anXbox 360 and PlayStation 3 release in September.

It’s been nearly 15 years since Diablo was published on the PlayStation, where a save file took up a record seven slots of memory. Thankfully we’ve moved beyond memory cards by this point.

Pre-orders around the internet will land early buyers an Infernal Helm within the game, which grants characters a boost in experience points. Individual retailers are expected to be adding their own limited time pre-order options, so keep an eye out for the best possible deal.

Diablo III also brings back a long forgotten tradition as well for video games. These console ports bring back local multiplayer, where up to four players can sit on a couch and play a video game on the same screen. What is this? The 90s?

Have you been a console gamer for the last decade who’s never given Diablo a chance? Any interest in giving it a spin and seeing what the fuss is about?

This is very good for consoles and is even said to be better then the pc and not better looking but all drops are only seen by each player online meaning no more playing with loot grabbers and each player gets a special drop for there game so no more auctions to buy the best loot this time its what you find and makes the multiplayer games more fair and unique.

Its best on consoles 2. They got rid of the real money auction house, so they overhauled the loot which means the game should be a hell of a lot more fun. Enjoy!

I had a nasty habit of always playing Halo locally with my brother.

If this game plays anything like Torchlight on the 360, then I may have to pick it up at some point.

This went to a very high place on my list of games to get. I can't wait to play it co-op like Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance of old.

I'll pick it up at some point. Granted, I don't "love" Blizzard but I imagine Diablo III will be a very awesome co-op game to play with friends!
