reminds me a little bit of Burnout Paradise's world map where you had a city and lots of country areas just outside it and then a beach front. City, country, ocean. You got it all.

The world of Liberty City to San Andreas to Los Santos has changed alot since Rockstars first game. It has evolved from a typical city map into a complete state map, at any rate heres how they have evolved.
Liberty Citys first city map
The first GTA game was liberty city from a top down perspective and was limited.
GTAs Second map was a revamped Liberty City
Liberty City in Gta 3 starts to look a little more detailed in GTA 3 for the ps2, the we have the spin off of vice city which was an 80s themed look.
The Vice City Map the 80s themed map from GTA
Then Rockstar changed it up to a brand new location called San Andreas and this time the map was double the size of Liberty City and Vice City combined.

Then came GTA 4 which was a more modern version of Liberty City, and GTA 4s map although not as big as San Andreas was very big and detailed.
GTA 4s map was almost as big as San Andreas
Then theres Los Santos the biggest and best looking GTA world to date, now in my personal opinion up to date as far as my favorite was San Andreas because of the pure scope of the state it was huge with tons of very unique areas like the skyscrapers of downtown to the suburbs outside of downtown all the way to the trailer parks on the outskirts of downtown San Andreas, but as far as the city is concerned I really liked Vice City which reminded me if the 80s show Miami Vice the city really looked like it was a city from Miami and the neon lights really captured that 80s vibe.
GTA 5 Los Santos
So that leaves us to Los Santos now from what I have seen this will be the most packed and largest state map to date.
And I cant wait to get my hands on this game Tuesday and I will have a blog on my first thoughts of this fantastic looking game.
