Thinking about jumping into FFIV since everyone is raving about it... combat seems pretty meh though, i.e. the same as every other MMORPG.
Janelle Monae seems interesting. Might have to look her up.

Whats up folks. Well I have been sinking a lot of time into FF14 (probably waayyy too much) but its just just a massive and fun game. I unlocked the Monk job saturday and its pretty cool. Thing is it does not replace the pugilist class, they are linked and will level together no matter which one you play. The monk gets some stat boosts and some unique skills but retains most of the skills you have as a pugulist.
Aside from FF14 I picked up a copy of the Infamous collection for $20, been wanting to play these games for a long time. Plus two full games with all the dlc was just too good of deal to pass up. Now its just a matter of finding the time to play them.
I also got the latest album by Janelle Monae "The Electric Lady". I think its one of those albums I will have to listen to a few times before I can realy get into ALL of it. I really liked her first two albums, but there are some songs on here I'm just not really feeling. She jumped around into lots of different genres on her last record "Archandroid" , but she just seemd to settle into sticking with more staight up R&B this time around. But it still retains her signature cyberpunk take on R&B.
Well that all I got, thanks for reading. Laters!
Its not the deepest combat, but when you level complementary classes it can be fun to expirement with mixing skills. Overall though its the massive world and the really well written dialog that has added to the appeal. Even the normal NPC's will say some funny stuff sometimes.
Janelle Monae is very different from typical modern R&B. Plus she pulls from a lot of different genres, classical, jazz, rock. She also seems to like music from old movies. I've never been to keen on that kind of music but she really blew me away.
I got a copy of inFamous at a yardsale a couple weeks ago for $2, which was a great deal of course. So once I play it I can finally move onto inFamous 2. I got that free on PS+ but haven't touched because I wanted to play the first one...first. As for MMOs, I've been thinking about getting back into Guild Wars 2 but I'm not willing to pay for the subscription fee for FFXIV lol
Yeah I learned the hard way about playing games out of order when I accidentally dropped some major spoilers on myself. I started playing Lunar 2 before I finished the first Lunar. Never again.
I'm not too keen on the subsription thing but this is my first time playing an MMO, its Final Fantasy, and I can actually afford it so I say what the heck, why not. Although I will be cutting my subscrition to Gamefly to justify it,lol.
That sounds like a good trade off, FFXIV for Gamefly. Not that different in price. If you have the time and money, then go for it, I guess. I'm short on both so it wouldn't be a wise investment for me right now lol. I've only been able to squeeze in a handful of dedicated gaming hours over the last two weeks.
