In case you were wondering about VITA 2.

Some quotes from an article at USgamer about hands-on VITA2.

Visually, you have to look carefully to spot the differences between the systems -- a mere glance might not be enough to notice the more narrow, more rounded case design, or its thinner form factor.

The new Vita is preposterously lightweight, almost to the point of feeling flimsy; compare a DualShock 2 controller to the original Sixaxis and you'll get an sense of the difference.

Sadly, the one area the Vita revision two falls short is in its screen. Sony claims to have snatched up standard LCD technology that rivals the original Vita's OLED display, but that's an exaggeration at best. The new Vita's features a screen that seems dark and grimy next to the luminous, high-contrast screen of the older model. Certainly it doesn't look terrible, but beside the first Vita it fails to impress.

*holds vita close* I saw the comparsion screens for that new model and I didnt like it one bit. The screen on the current model looks ten times more amazing then the newer one thats coming.

I don't know about ten times, but yeah. I'd rather stick with my old model. They don't offer many incentives for upgrading.

This is a considerable "downgrade" from original model.

Yes! My purchase is justified.

Contrast. That's the word I was looking for to describe the screen of the original Vita. It has great contrast.

The weight and the balance of the Vita makes a difference for me. It feels just right. It also serves as a reminder to respect and take care of the damn thing.

The screen diference and the fact that the first model might get discontinued makes me want to get a Vita, but then there's the Wind Waker Wii U pack.....

and I believe the Wind Waker WiiU is limited edition too.

It's a shame that the OLED version will no longer be available. Some of the games really pop on the original model. I just hope it doen't impact the effort developers put into their games to make them stand out on the brighter screen

All this does is deter me from ever getting one. I can't afford one right now and if I get one later I'll have to hunt down the original model or forever live with the thought that I got a second-rate piece of hardware. I suppose there's always VitaTV...

Rivals? I don't recall them saying that. Its no Vita 2. I Vita 2 would be a successor to the Vita. This is simply a new version of the Vita just like the many that existed with the PSP.
