Just reported by ABC News at radio station I'm managing. Heard this from my office. Sad news indeed. The former Nintendo president was the third the company had and filled the position from 1949 until 2002.

Yes, very sad news. I only briefly heard about him last year, but it's unquestionable that he's had a major impact on gaming. He will be missed.

seems like some big heavy hitters in the gaming industry are passing away. First him and now Tom Clancy. Sad day indeed.
