2DS First Impressions

I'd just post my friend code, but I thought that would be a bit of a waste lol. So I'll post what i think of the 2DS so far. I've played Pokemon Y for about 9 and a half hour or so. I love the 2DS its got a nice feel and weight to it. Feels better in my hands than a DS lite does. It runs perfect sounds great. Nothing about it feels cheap. For its price its a great buy, and it actually is portable depending on what you're wearing/carrying. It's small enough to fit inside a pocket on like a pair of cargo pants albeit kind of a tight fit but it should go right in, and you can always use a purse or a bag too.

Except theres a few things that might kind of confuse people. Outside of the start up screen and its system settings it refers to everything as 3DS. Which can probably make people confused. Especially considering Streetpass tutorials instruct you to "fold your system" So yeah there are a few design oversights there.

Well congrats on your 2ds im sure you will get some miles on that especially since the games are alot cheaper then the 3ds or Vita.

2DS Plays all DS and 3DS games (sans the 3D) and has all the features a 3DS has. It's basically a cheaper 3DS. The name is hella confusing though

Im thinking of buying a 2DS just for collecting. Good to hear it feels good on the hands. 3DS small not so good on the hands.

The button placement helps and the fact that it doesnt fold means theres more to hold onto. I like it a lot this way.

I'm glad you got a 2DS. I saw one today when I covered a Pokemon event. How do you put it on sleep mode if you can't close it?

I'm reviewing a 3DS game that you might like. It's called Rune Factory 4. It's like Harvest Moon except you can fight monsters. I wonder who Cary in the game should marry? The pink-haired butler lady or the strong female knight?

Theres a switch at the bottom I think where the 3D slider would be were it a regular 3DS

I'll be picking up RF4 sometime really liked the first but havent played one since. btw I just added your friend code too :)

I'm thinking of buying a 2ds in the coming months too. So far all that I've heard about it is good, so that's making me wonder why I ever questioned it lol! Does the system feel like cheaper plastic? I know that it's made for kids so it might be a bit more durable like that.

nah nothing about it feels cheap. Though the backside of the console kind of looks a little cheap. As long as you don't mind that everything else will be fine. $130 for access to the full library of DS, 3DS and eShop games. I think its one of the best (if not the best) deals on the market.

2DS is only $130 new and plays all DS and 3DS games. I think its an extremely good deal at that price.

Mine's 4811 7051 7856. Logged over 27 hours in Y already, haha. Got an amazing Delphox who's Sp Atk is higher than its HP. Look forward to interacting with ya some!

I've had a hard time with nintendo handhelds given how my hands are so beastly. Thought about an XL model but perhaps this 2DS might be usefull instead. I'll give it some Thought.
