Check out Shadow Complex on XBLA. I think it may be my favorite game on the 360. And it's worth $15, trust me. Glad you're enjoying your new toy.
Setting Up the 360, Random Games, And New Angry Birds Game?

Happy Tuesday Pixlbit! As another fun filled workweek has started, just remember we are one day closer to Friday! This past weekend I got to spend time with the new console, especially since my football team played on Thursday so Saturday was free to lounge around, and make sure the games I bought from GameStop worked.
Before I actually jumped into playing I did read your comments on my last blog (thanks for the info!). I tried to sign up for X-Box Live Rewards on Friday but it wouldn’t work. I figured it hated me, so I tried again on Monday and got this
Once that was settled I needed to take care of some other setup stuff. I bought a $25 card for the X-Box Marketplace, I want to call it PSN Store (Oh before we continue, let's talk about the free trial games for a moment. I played a bit of Hydro Thunder on the 360, and I missed playing this in the arcade and on I think the N64. I decided I wanted to buy it so I bought the $25 card thinking maybe the game is $10 bucks, which is reasonable. When I went to unlock it, it was $15 dollars. Are you crazy X-Box? If it was $10 I would have probably bought Hydro Thunder and another game, but at $15 I might as well buy a current gen game.) and picked up a battery pack* because the one my controller came with takes AA batteries
*Ok so why does Target have a half dozen of these things, and only two of them have their original security stickers? Do people really need to open these things to make sure the product is still inside because the blister pack front could by lying?
It’s odd but whatever, I think I’m finally setup and ready to go…until I decided to pickup lunch and check out another GameStop.
I think this came out to something like $14 with Godfather II being the most expensive at $8. I’ve been playing a ton of Project Gotham 3, but you’ll read more about it later on.
Ok so now I think I’m set, I got everything setup, a stack of games to keep me busy and my weekend is set. So what have I been playing exactly? Let’s find out.
I played the hell out of the second one on PS3, and I really enjoy these for lack of a better name “4 character switch on the fly, super hero” games. I loved the X-Men games as well as Justice League on the PS2, and MUA2, and Fantastic Four on the PS3. The only I need to buy is Justice League, and I think I have a darn good library of these games.
Anyways this game is no different, have four super heroes, world is in danger, let’s destroy everything in your path to earn powerups, upgrades your character, energy, hidden goodies, and kill bad guys. Lots of fun in the Marvel Universe.
I have Halo 1-3, and I’m not a big fan like many are, but when I popped in Halo 3, I started getting into this universe. I know I’m missing a big chunk of the story, but so far I’m getting into the game, and the best part is, I don’t get dizzy as much as I used to, so I can play a little longer. I also started playing a bit of ODST and that’s fun too.
This current season of my NCAA Football has been one dramatic game after the next. After that dramatic game against Alabama I mentioned in a previous blog, I had two more close games including one against South Carolina where I drove down the field in 40 seconds to win on a TD as time expired, to my last game where in the last 2 minutes of the game, after missing 2 FGs, I had a big 50 yard TD run, and then Tennessee fumbled and I recovered the ball. The defense is young, and they are making the season really crazy.
One of the crazy catches that happened during the season.
I unlocked this guy in Marvel Puzzle Quest. I think it was automatic for trying out one of the stages. I started to play the Venom storyline so I could upgrade my characters before going after a more difficult enemy.
A couple of quick things in Simpsons Tapped Out
The Tapped Out community earned enough Ghost Goo to unlock Clawing Zombie
For logging in for a week straight, I won a Mystery Box, and inside was 30 donuts. I’m excited because usually it’s something like a tree, or a bench, but finally something useful.
The same day I got the donuts I also collected 2,000 Ghost Goo’s (I already collected all the individual Ghost Goo prizes so now it’s donuts) and won 3 additional donuts. If you play this game, keep visiting other towns.
I saw this on Twitter and I thought I’d share it with you good folks
The Verge posted an article about a new Angry Birds game where Angry Birds meets a Super Mario Kart game. It should be out in December, and hopefully it’s also .99 cents like their other games.
Speaking of other games, I decided to finally buy Angry Birds Star Wars II for .99.
One day I will sit down and actually try to finish one of these games.
Well Pixlbit, the time has come for me to get back to designing pretty stuff, and now you are caught up on what I have been up to.
That’s all for now, more later!
