I'm glad to see Fatal Frame II made the list man! I'm actually doing a Let's Play of that right now on my YouTube channel!
Also; where's the rest of you playing Dark Souls Wrong?
I've been waiting...

It's Halloween! You know, that time of year where you dress in skimpy outfits and offer your "tricks and treats" in exchange for "candy." But, if you're a bit less classy, you can also indulge in entertainment of the horror variety. We play video games on this here website, so I guess we better talk about those. Right? Right.
I've wrangled up a list of some horror games that will aid your constipation this Halloween.
BUT FIRST. I should mention that not all of these games are scariest. Some horror is supposed to be more fun than fear-inducing, so some of these games may not be absolute pants-wetters. However, I will order this list in a way that denotes least to most scary games. If you disagree, remember that A) fear is entirely subjective, and B) you aren't wearing any pants.
Read the rest of the article here! Or else you'll have your internal organs eaten... BY PANCAKES!
Nice, I'll have to have a look!
As for dark souls, I've done the gameplay, but I had some issues with fraps which caused me to lose pretty much all of the video content. I didn't do anything really significant like beat a boss, but I did level up a few times and die a fair bit. I'll be at a significantly higher level next time you see me lol.
Sweet! I just deleted all of my notifications, since I had like 200 of them. I might have missed it lol. I shall go looking!
---EDIT---
Oh, it's your new blog. Don't worry lol!
Fraps is what I use fore recording. It's a pretty decent recording tool, but it chews up CPU like you wouldn't believe.
First and foremost, do you like Double Fine (and/or Tim Schafer)? If so, ignore the rest of everything I have to say and just buy the game. If not, please, let me continue.
It's Halloween and you're taking your little brother (or sister) trick-or-treating. See, you're a set of identical twins and based on your character choice, you will be the eldest (by a few seconds). This sets up a pretty humurous backdrop for the sibling interaction going forward during the events of the night.
You set out from your house into a pretty standard neighborhood filled with a bunch of kids all out trick-or-treating. As you go house to house, you either receive candy or discover a Grubbin who's in search of candy. At this point the game switches into an RPG mode that's reminiscent of a Mario RPG-style game.
Your costume determines your abilties in the RPG mode. The art style switches from a cartoony-thing into this ultra-detailed, "realistic" style. As you go through the game you unlock new abilities and can complete different subquests to obtain new costumes and new party members. Furthermore, the costumes actually have different abilities that must be applied during different fights. So it's a bit deeper than just being window-dressing.
An entire plot (that I won't spoil) unfolds that takes you to lots of different areas, but the whole trick-or-treating theme is applied throughout the game, regardless of where you go. It's a humorous romp that doesn't overstay its welcome. By the time the gimmick of it all starts to wear thin, it wraps up.

Oh, it's also 75% off right now on Steam for their Halloween sale.
The only one I've played is Resident Evil 4, but I like to play that every year around Halloween, even if it's just a little bit of that game. No matter what part it is, you're guaranteed to have a blast with that game, and I can count the number of games like that with one hand. I'd also probably play The Last of Us if I had the time to plow through it this month.
That looks like a fine list there. Like several others here, RE4 is the only one of those I've played, though I really like the Silent Hill series (played 2 and Shattered Memories) and hope to play the third game eventually. I recently bought both Condemned games for cheap and have a copy of Amnesia that I got from a Humble Bundle at some point. I always mean to play a scary game in Octobor...I just usually don't get to it (like this year because I was feverishly trying to finish SMT IV but got stuck on the final boss...eff you, Lucifer), though both the Silent Hills I've played were October games. And Fatal Frame 2 is up there on my mental list of games I'd like to own.
