Well, this is my first blog on pixlbit. Poping my cherry! I moved here from 1up awhile ago and just kind of lost the love of game blogging for awhile. I was a member of 1up way back around 2003-2004ish. I wasnt hardcore blogger, but really enjoyed the community and site. made some good friends and connected well with fellow gamers. So just wanted to get the ball rolling again with a blog and what i have been up to for awhile and meet some new people on this site.
I havent really have had the chance to get into gaming for the past 6 months.New job with a big move! been pretty occupied with other things. Was able to play The Last of Us, Tomb Raider, and playing Metro Last Light. First off, Last of Us was perfection. I really dont need to type anything else! A surprise was Tomb Raider. I actually really enjoyed the game and was expecting that. The mechanics, graphics, and gameplay where pretty damn good. Sounds like Square Enix is working up a second title for this game, which i am sure i will look into it!. Just started Metro LL. I am only bout 5 hours (max) into the game so cant really give a good review on it. It is not that bad so far - are some really annoying glitches in the game, but i will live. Kind of reminds me of a mix of Rage and Fallout
Some other games that i would still like to pickup are the new Splinter Cell game, Bioshock 3, Crysis 3, those are a few.....see i told ya i was behind! Who is picking up the new PS4? i think i may wait awhile??????? maybe
I picked up Last Light a while back, and hope to play it in the coming months.
As far as the PS4 is concerned... I am regretting canceling my pre-order for the moment. This is most likely caused by the pre-launch excitement that seems to be floating around the internets. Once that dies down I will remember why I canceled it to begin with.
i havent really put any thought into the ps4, but as the count down continues this week i am really considering picking it up soon
Nice post. Another opinion that says Tomb Raider is good. I might needs to try it now. I still enjoy the HD remakes.
Not looking to get PS4 until 2014, but you never know. I might change my mind during holiday rush.
same boat - i wasnt going to pick the ps4 up till next year but i really want to check this bad boy out
welcome to Pixlbit! I haven't played Last Light but I started playing the first game a few months ago and then got distracted. I want to finish it though.
Haven't played Last of Us or Tomb Raider either, but I want to!

hey Cary - yeah i was on there for along time! checked in everyday and read blogs and made some comments / blogs. wasnt hard core but really enjoyed the site. over the past few years u could see the end coming for 1up
Pick up Bioshock Infinite. I'm playing it now. I'm about 6hrs in. Damn good game so far. I don't plan to get a PS4 anytime soon. I'm seriously thinking about picking up an Ouya though.
i agree bioshock looks pretty cool - especially the landscape atmosphere! i would say it is next on the lsit. thanks for the comment
Welcome markheg! I was a 1Uper too. I was listening to all the 1UP podcasts way before I started blogging, but I loved the site once I started. I followed a few people to Pixlbit when 1UP went 1DOWN and have enjoyed it quite a bit. There's even some things I think are an improvement over 1UP like having responses show up in your Messages so you don't miss a thing. I used to have to open up my old blogs from time to time on 1UP to see if there were any new responses (yea, I could've gotten them through e-mail, but what a hassle that was having to sign into two sites at once).
Bioshock Infinite is a really fun game and just dropped some more DLC. I have to go check that out. I bought the season pass for all the DLC. I could've done without the first one that just gave you a Horde type challenge though. I only want more story missions. I love the environments and the story in the Bioshock games most of all.
Welcome to Pixlbit! About Metro: Last Light - the first one is better, but there are a ton of gamebreaking bugs + the stealth barely works. If you can get your hands on the Redux, do it, because the new version is completely remade and fully functional!
And you're right about The Last of Us. I'm sad I don't have a PS3 anymore, I need to play that again.
