Games I Beat:

Lollipop Chainsaw (360)

 photo lollipop-chainsaw-juliet-00_zps10131647.jpg

I waited a long time to play this game. I heard it was short, so I wanted to get it at a low price. I picked it up during GameStop's "buy 2 get 1 free" sales and that made the price right. LC is a damn cool game. I had more fun with it than I thought I would. It was like playing a Troma movie or something. The action is constant, the characters are crazy and the story is fun. It's short, but in a game like this, being long isn't the right way to go. I really hope there's a sequel some day. At $20, it's a nice game to pick up.

BioShock Infinite (360)

 photo bioshock-infinite1_zps23dae732.jpg

When I first saw the trailer for this game, I got excited. Just from the way it looked I knew I would have more interest in this game than the Bioshock under water. It was an functional city, the people were alive, and it was in the freaking sky. Those damn skylines are awesome if used correctly. Another nice addition is Elisabeth. It's so nice to have a partner you don't have to freaking babysit. It's just cool having her around. It doen't really matter where you are or what you're dong at the time. During battles, she's a freaking life saver. The best thing about BI is the story. The story is good and the ending stayed with me. It's not perfect, but I got the idea of where they were going. The ending is not original (few endings are), but it's a direction I hadn't seen in a while. My main problem with the game was the combat. The action is great, but your character's abilities are a bit dull. And, this game could of benefited from a cover system. As a whole, it's a great game and I plan to play through it again.

Games I'm Playing:

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D (3DS)

I'm a little disappointed with this game. OoT (N64) is probably my favorite N64 game. The last time I played OoT was actually on the GC with The Legend of Zelda collection a few years ago. This version is a bit handicapped. It might be just me though. I have a hard time rotating the camera on this game. I'm always getting attacked from behind. I can't see shit. Almost everybattle I'm evolved in is won by luck. A battle with a simple enemy and I'm down to only a few hearts. I guess I just can't play this game on a small screen. I would like to finish it before A Link Between Worlds comes out, but it's hard to see that happening. I'm not having much fun with this game.

Typing of the Dead (PC)

 photo typing-of-the-dead_2_zps099ac9ad.jpg

I started playing this again about a week ago. My typing is so damn bad. I'm making it further in the game without continuing, but not by much.  As bad as I am, I still enjoy playing it.

There are a few games I'm thinking about starting. Tales of Graces f (PS3), Resistance (PS3), Heavy Rain (PS3), Yakuza 3 (PS3), Yakuza 4 (PS3), Dragon Age II (360), Mass Effect (360), Bioshock (360), Fallout New Vegas (360) and a few others games that come to mind.

Games I Bought:

Zelda II: The Adventure of Link (3DS) - There is a little sale on Zelda games.  Nintendo takes a dollar and some change off of 3 of them.  I bought 2.  I actually got the first game for free.

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX (3DS)

That's what I'm doing. What are you guys playing?

My blog's all off.  Anyone know how to fix this or will it fix itself? Embarassed

Yay, Link's Awakening, my favorite Zelda game.

I never played it.  I'm sure I'll enjoy it more than OoT 3D.  I read Link's Awakening is a great game.

I'm not playing much of anything at the moment. I've been a bit distracted lately.

I bet.  I lost a friend back in July.  Sadly, his journey from this world to the next wasn't exactly a peaceful one, but I do believe he was at peace with the way he decided to go.

Lollipop chainsaw is one of the few games with incredibly meh gameplay that I actually quite enjoy. Also, the beginning of Bioshock Infinite is awesome. I spent so long just taking in the sites and sounds, and I was actually disappointed when the combat started. Because the combat is terrible, boring and shite. The story is pretty good I guess.

I played game with similar gameplay to LC and I was bored to death.  Story is usually the main factor that gets me to continue playing a game.  I think back to eariler this year with my first attempt at Heavenly Sword.  The gameplay was simple hack'n'slash and the story was not interesting.  I quit it as soon as the gameplay became more trouble than the game was worth.

I hear u on playing OoT on the 3DS.  On the other hand, it looks beautiful for sure.  I wish though that the Master Quest was available in the beginning. I didn't have the heart to play through the game again.

It's not available from the start?  I bought a used copy and I have yet to erase the last owner's save data, so when I start a game, the Master Quest option is there.  I just assumed I could start it if I wanted to.  I guess I'll leave that save data on the cart a bit longer. Cool

yeah, you have to beat the game first, to my knowledge.  had it been open to start I would have probably enjoyed the game more.  I just knew it too well.

I Never beat Link's Awakening, it was too hard for me as a kid. so a gave it to my cousin when i upgrades. I'll get it back next time i meet him.

Infinite is on my list of games I need to start, but first I'll have to get a new laptop.

I really wish my pc was gaming worthy.  My goal is to one day get a nice desktop because it's cheaper and I can fiddle around with it.  I have too many other projects in the works that take up my money.

Hopefully, I can start up Link's Awakening soon.  It will probably be after I playthrough A Link Between Worlds.

I have yet to play through Bioshock Infinite, even though I have owned it for a couple of months now. I am occupied with Borderlands 2 at the moment. It had been one of my most anticipated games in a long time.

I had considered buying Lollipop Chainsaw, maybe I will. I'll see how the Black Friday sales shape up this year.

Bioshock Infinite is not a long game.  It can be knocked out in 10 to 15 hours.  It's really over with before you know it.

I'm really glad I picked up Lollipop Chainsaw during the GS sale.  3 games for $40 wasn't bad.  I picked up both Lollipop Chainsaw and Bioshock Infinite in that deal.

When Borderlands 2 GotY edition drops in price, I'll pick that up.  I just bought Borderldands GotY edition a while back for only $10 and I still hadn't played that yet.

I have the first Bioshock making dust on Steam. I wish I could start it, but with because my computer is shitty at PC gaming, I will wait till I get myself a laptop that can do that.

There are a few places you can get Bioshock on the PS3 or 360 real cheap.  That's an option you can take. Cool

I don't have a PS3 or a 360...

I'd love to play Lollipop Chainsaw. Haven't played a Suda51 game since No More Heroes. That guy's crazy lol. I really enjoyed BioShock Infinite, especially the story. I hadn't figured it out by the end, so I was pretty surprised. I liked the combat though. Maybe just because it's different than most of the FPSes I've played. I'm going to play the story DLC that came out once I get a bigger harddrive for my 360 (hopefully on Black Friday).

I think I have both No More Heroes games.  I played the first game a little.  I don't know why I stopped playing it.

I would like to get the BI dlc, but it's a tad too expensive for me.

I really liked Lollipop Chainsaw. A few too many minigames for my taste, but it did a great job of staying entertaining and fun. Never had issues with OoT 3D, but sorry to hear you are. I've mostly been playing the PS4 lately, love it right now.

Also the correct answer on what game to start is obviously Mass Effect.

OoT 3D is getting better (tweaked a couple things in the options), but I'm still having annoying camera issues.

I'm really wanting to start Mass Effect, but I'm trying to stay away from that series.  It's been 3 months since I played Mass Effect.  I doubt I'll make it to the end of the year, but I'm hoping.  One day at a time. Laughing

Typing of the Dead is a great game. I have it on Dreamcast. I didn't know it would be possible to like a typing game so much. Especially not when you suck at typing lol. I think the horrible voice acting and cheesiness adds a lot of charm to it.

The voice acting is great. Laughing

I was torn this month between Razor's Edge and Lollipop chainsaw. Went with NG: Razor's edge because of...well...ninjas! That and three additional characters are unlocked after beating the game's story mode.

I started out thinking normal mode was "impossible" but after grinding away with Momiji and improving her stats/abilities she's become very fun to use and rather unstoppable.

I didn't know what Razor's Edge was, so I had to look it up. Laughing  I suck at the Ninja Gaiden games.  I was awesome on the NES games, but the current games I'm no good.

I guess you don't need to give me your copy of Bioshock Infinite. Looks me threat of confiscation worked! Stil waiting on a GOTY edition for that game, even if it's selling cheap used right now. Is that ToTD game the same one you suggested for Halloween awile back? I only ask because I tried to play it but my PC won't boot it up anymore.

I've been going back oddly to Fallout 3 again to play my "jayne cobb" character. Just have the urge to be "a bad guy" at the moment.

jgusw

11/20/2013 at 05:15 PM

Yeah, TotD is the same game from last year.  It's been a while, so I wonder if you can still get it for free.  It's one of the few games on my PC that plays without any problems.

You named your character "Jayne Cobb"?!  Now I'm thinking I should make a Shepherd Book or River Tam character. Laughing

I'm playing whatever retro stuff I can find free online.

I really want to play pretty much every game you mentioned. Lolipop Chainsaw looks like stupid fun, BI looks like a classic, and I could improve my typing skills myself. Sorry to hear about OoT though, I liked that game on N64 and GC as well.

I'm one of those people who dislike Zelda II, but I'd love to play Link's Awakening DS.

I tried playing Zelda II years ago and didn't like it.  I would like to give it another try.  I hope to get to Link's Awakening soon.  So many people say it's a good game.

I hadn't done it either.  I would like to finish Bioshock 1 first. Laughing
