people are nuts.
Surprise! Gamers aren't using live streaming for games.

I was skimming through NeoGAF this afternoon and saw a post about how PS4 live streamers are just streaming videos of themselves and talking to the cameras like "The Real World" on MTV or that "Big Brother" show where ppl have cams on them 24/7.
I've been browsing twitch.com quite a bit, not for these types of videos, but watching some game play footage of the new Lightning Returns which launced in Japan already--and I like what I've seen of it s far. I've also been watching some live streaming of new gen games to see what they're all about.
Suddenly there are all these voyeristic shows of PS4 gamers just fighting off commenters in twitch chat. If you aren't familiar with twitch, live streaming or the services offered by PS4 and as of yet XBOXOne, you can live stream your gameplay on twitch.com and PS4 players can view and comment live.
The whole "social gaming" aspect that this gen is pushing is turning out "unintentional" or "didnt-see-that-coming" video content, and it's exciting and weird. For the moment it's wierd. Is this the new thing everyone will be doing now?
Are any of you aware of this next gen live video thing that's going on right now. Apparently it is "connecting" gamers, but I don't think this is what was intended "social" experience.
Here is a link to the PS4 channel on twitch.
