Just a quickie hello while I got the laptop out.

Here we are, folks. After the longest console generation in history we are finally at the birth of a NEW generation of consoles. I'm excited as a gaming hobbyest to be seeing all this go down, right out the gate we are starting with a good oldfashioned console war, and it looks to be the bloodiest since the 16-Bit era. It will be very interesting to see how this all pans out.

That being said, I have no interest in picking up a new console anytime soon. I'm getting a Zelda 3DSXL for Christmas but thats about it.

I'm curious to know how many of you are getting new consoles by the years end? If you are playing them already, what do you think? If you aren't getting one but had to pick one, which would you get? What games are you interested in? If Last Guardian becomes a reality, that just may seal the deal for me on a PS4.

Right now I'm starting to pick into the empressive library of PS3 games. I picked up the Journey collection, I played through Journey twice, and it that won't be my last. Amazing game, and also started messing with Flower. Another very cool and beautiful game. I finished Last of Us and I think it lives up to all the hype. Amazing game.

I'm also playing Ghosts multiplayer on 360, I sitll like Black Ops II maps better but I'm getting used to it.

So I hope everyone on the US side had a great Thanksgiving. I sure did. Details on that another time. And I hope everyone has a fantastic whatever it is you celebrate towards the end of the year. I celebrate Christmas, so through my Christmas time I hope you all have an amazing and wonderful time as well, regardless of what you celebrate and when.

I'm sticking around last gen for a while. I want a 3DS XL but can't afford it so I'll be squinting at my launch 3DS for a while longer. If I was getting a console this year it would be a Wii U so that I could play the new Mario game, Wind Waker HD and a few others. Second choice would be a PS4 but since there isn't a single game out for it that interests me I'd be waiting even if I had the money. I'd like a Vita too since I have about 10 games from PSN+ that I'd like to try and Persona 4 Golden.

The way things are looking...I'm going to wait until early next year before I get another console.  I'm think I'll start with the Wii U sometime between January/February.  Depends on how the cash flow goes.  But Super Mario 3D World definitely has me interested in the console now.  That's more than I can say just a month ago.

I'm with you,Chris. Still plenty of reasons to invest more into my 360 and psp. I'll get a PS4, just not for awhile!

I'm in -- found a PS4 for my brother for Xmas last night in the middle of the night and ordered it.  Thankful I don't have to worry about that anymore. For me, personally, I'm getting a Wii U for Xmas, and I'm quite excited.

Nope.

I have a gaming laptop to save for, I'll most likely get a PS4 when Guilty Gear Xrd is released and even then I may just get the game and what ever "Editon" that comes with the most stuff.Tongue Out

I'm not planning to get a PS4 or an XBO.  I got a 3DS a few months ago and my hope is to get an Ouya within the next couple months.  I'll probably pick up a Vita next year, but as for the newer consoles, I don't see it happening anytime soon.  I'm not even excited about the new games.  Maybe in 2015. Undecided

I won't get a Xbox One or PS4 until there are enough games on them to interest me. So it may not be for a while.  But that doesn't mean I have anything against the consoles or anything.  I love my 360 and PS3, but I didn't get them until a year or two after they were released.

I planning on a Zelda Wii-U with Pikmin 3 this Xmas. I'm reluctant to spend the money but the time is right and I don't know if I can wait much longer.

We have a Wii U, which definitely has the best games right now (Mario 3D World, Pikmin, Wonderful 101, etc.). We'll get a PS4 in a year, probably, and maybe an X1 two or three years after that. We'll see. My 3DS, though, has seen a ton of use this year and I foresee that continuing indefinitely. That's a great piece of hardware.

I have utterly no interest in next gen lol. I do want to get a new PC sometime though. I've been loving the Indie scene lately. There's so much great content out there! A lot of it is dirt cheap too and appeals to my retro sensibilities.

I have a PS4, but it came out at the worst possible time.  I say this because the new Zelda game has been far too enjoyable.  I have had difficulty ripping myself away from it.

Nope not yet. Nothing really warrants me in getting the newer consoles just yet. The only thing that would compell me to get an Xbox One would be a new Halo game adn I' hoping 343 will at least finish off the "Forerunner saga" on the 360.

The only pull for me wanting a PS4/Xbox One/ Wii U is just the thrill of owning a new piece of tech but nothing else. I'm more looking forward to the deep discounts I hope to find with Xbox 360/PS3/Wii/PSP titles out there!
