My Pokemon X Team

Yeah, I have so little self control I already bought Pokemon X so I could replay. I would say these games are like crack, but at least that has rehab. What the hell does Pokemon have? Anyways, here's my team.

Toad (Froakie->Frogadier->Greninja)

This time I opted for Froakie, who between the game being introduced and now somehow became everyone's favorite. I've been a Chespin backer from the start so I could see all these bandwagoners for what they were: People who loved Fogadier and Greninja. I'll admit though, they have awesome designs, Greninja's tongue/scarf is an especially nice touch. The Water/Dark typing is also excellent, as is his sky high speed, great movepool, and good offenses.

Mockingjay (Fletching->Fletchinder->Talonflame)

I haven't been one for regional birds normally. The only one which I think is really great that you can get early on is Starly. Talonflame, however, thanks to it's insanely high speed and decent offenses, as well as a Fire typing, breaks this mold giving a great Flying type. He's my go to guy for countering Grass, Bug, and Fighting types, which works well with Greninja's weakness to all of these.

Bulbasaur->Ivysaur->Venusaur

Now onto, my favorite starter, Bulbasaur and his evolutions. I had a hard time deciding between Bulbasaur and Chespin on my first playthrough, but went with the new guy and am glad I did. But now I'm happy to have another go with my beloved Bulbasaur. His Poison typing is coming really useful now, him being a pivotal Fairy counter. And I love Mega Venasaur. So simple, yet compare it to Bulbasaur and Ivysaur, it makes so much sense.

Snorlax

Snorlax is just awesome. He takes special hits so well he might as well be immune to them and hits like a truck back. Also, look at that lovable design.

Death Star (Golette, now retired)

I caught a Golette early on for his great Ghost/Ground typing and solid stats, along with a good movepool to support them. But I recently did a White 2 playthrough with him on the team and wasn't feeling it. So I eventually replaced him. But he kicked ass against the third Gym, leader didn't lay a finger on him.

Lucario

Like Greninja, Lucario is one of those Pokemon I cannot deny is awesome, but do not seem to like as much as everyone else. But I figured I might as well try his Megalution and have to say his ability (doubling a move of his type instead of a 1.5 boost) makes Close Combat one of the most lethal moves I've ever used in Pokemon. Mega Lucario, and regular for that matter, can fuck shit up.

Bitey (Gible->Gabite->Garchomp)

My replacement for Golette. I saw one of these in a sandstorm and figured I never had one before so might as well add him to the team. Gible was a bit of a liability, but Gabite was able to hold his own well, especially against the Electric Gym. Garchomp, however, is now one of my team's MVPs, destroying everything except Fairy types.

I totally chickened and haven't played this yet.  I almost bought it when it was $35 on Amazon, but money has been tight since I bought a Vita last month.  I should really pick this up though.  I want to get into Pokemon... on paper it seems like my kind of game.  I just haven't pulled the trigger yet.

Just for curiosity, can you make more than one save file, or is it only restricted to one on X/Y.

I can only wonder what kind of pokemon battle you could get into if you ever faced off with Alex-C25 *shudders*
