Almost finished SMT IV

I'm at Lucifer right now and I know that's the final boss. He's already wiped me out once. First form was a breeze, second form took me out in a couple of turns. Currently I'm running around finishing quests most of which are ridiculously easy at level 95. I decided to get myself to level 99 before tackling Lucifer again. I'm so close now I might as well.

I find it odd that I can create demons up to level 99 right now but for some reason none of the demons available in fusion are higher than level 83 and I've already fused most of them.

My highest level fusion is Metatron.

In other news I found 10 Colecovision cartridges at Value Village this morning but didn't buy them because I don't have a Colecovision console to test them on.

I also found a black Gamecube with a Gameboy Player and a Wavebird that would have cost me 10 bucks. Then I discovered that the Wavebird was missing the transceiver and the Gameboy player was missing parts.

Overall a very disappointing visit.

I basically had the same thing happen to me when I first played through the game, that second form really goes all out with some cheap moves on occasion. I guess it didn't help that I was using some pretty underleveled demons too.

Yeah like sending your demons back to stock again and then spamming powerful holy magic. :(

I hate that when checking out Thrifts. You see something cool, and when you inspect it, it's missing parts. I remember passing up Atari carts like that, only to regret it later on (funny thing is I don't even own an Atari).

I've run into incomplete stuff like that quite a bit. I found a wireless Genesis controller once. Same situation. Controller but nothing to plug into the console. Completely frikkin' useless.

I wish I did. I used to have a lot of fun playing at my friends place.

SMTIV is a beast of a game.  I was so glad when it was over.  I finished it at level 89.

Gameboy players don't have many parts.  What part was missing?

From what it looked like there was no slot for the GBA games. It was a huge space in the front with a big connector behind it. When I checked what they looking like on line it looked like something wasn't there

Those Wavebird controllers seem to fetch a pretty hefty price online for some reason. I have a Gameboy Player for my Gamecube and it's nice. It's definitely a lot better than having to look at some tiny screen.

I have a complete wavebird and would have bought the whole GC just for it (it was taped to the console in a bag. As soon as I realized that it was missing the transceiver I put it back.

Too bad about the thrift store duds. As for SMT IV, congrats. I have yet to get very far into any of the SMT games.

I really wanted to buy those Colecovision games but common sense kicked in at the last minute. LOL

The endgame in SMT is usually brutal. Nocturne was way harder though. That's why I never finished it.

I was way underleveled when I got to Lucifer (funny how you, James, and me all ended up on the Law path). I had to grind in the palace for awhile, which is a good place to do that at least. I gained at leat 10 levels and fused a bunch of better demons. I don't remember what my final level was, though, and it's too much work to dig out the game to find out lol.

Law abiding. That's usually how I wind up in games. Can't complete the activate all terminals quest but oh well, nevermind.

Bummer on the nintendo goodies. I still need to get ahold of a wavebird. I have the pelican sub but there are times when it act's funky, espeically with my router at play.

Was the disc just missing with the Player? I think you can get those easy off craigslist.

nah it looked like the slot that you put the games into was missing unless there is supposed to be a hole in the front with a big exposed connector

yeah it is suppose to be exposed. it is so that standard game boy games can jut out from the unit and not get hung up on a system cover. the only thing important to havw missing is a GC style disc that suppose to be in the gamecube itself to allow gba/gb play.
