I was following Nintendo's Twitter feed this morning and saw the video.  I'm so excited for this Hyrule Warriors!!  I think it's going to rock.

Im soo too excited, I firmly believe it will be great!

The only thing that worries me is what happened the last time Nintendo worked with Tecmo on one of their core franchises.  I didn't necessarily hate Other M, but it definitely was not the greatest game in the series.

I honestly cant speak for OtherM since I havent played a Metroid game in my life but  I feel that this game will do fine because Tecmo/Koei still has the people who when Koei was by its self working on their Warriors series and they are still doing a great job. Dynasty Warriors 8 is a great installement an I feel it brought back the series from feeling same old same old. As long as Nintendo works along side them on the Zelda lore and characters i think they will make this spinoff title great!

Since it is not Team Ninja working on the game I suppose that you are right and there should be no reason to worry about the quality.

Oh, Tecmo/Koei. You cheeky yet wonderful bastards! This does look great. Link's "Master sword attack" made me jizz in my pants! I just wish they showed some footage of Zelda as a playable character.

I wish they had too but we know as well as anyone she will for sure be in it and playabe. Just brings to question who all else they decide to pull in ^_^

It'd be great if they had "Normal Zelda" and "Sheik Zelda" each with different play styles!

Brilliant! Id love to see them do that myself. I really really want Midna to be in it, Id perfer her true form over the imp but but Ill take whatever I can get,lol

Oh cool! Looks like it will only be single player though. Want some co-op for this. I should have a Wii-U sometime in 2014. This will be on my list for sure.

I think it will include co-op, it might just be couch co-op but it should be in there. Im preordering this the minute I can!

Realistically how can they go wrong Zelda is huge and Koei,s Dynasty franchise is huge but I must admit im surprised Nintendo partnered with Koei since Nintendo is famous for doing there own thing.

Yeah, they have teamed up with Sega (F-Zero GX), Namco (Star Fox: Assault), Retro Studios (Metroid Prime), and of course Rare (Star Fox Adventures) going back to the Gamecube days, but all or most of those were with Nintendo as publisher and the other company as developer. They also all stuck to the series formula for their respective franchises for the mostpart. 

In this case, Wikipedia says this game is being co-developed by the two companies, with Nintendo as the publisher. Also, it looks like Dynasty Warriors with a Zelda code of paint, so it's not following the Zelda  formula. I guess this is pretty new territory for Nintendo after all. 

I honestly never really thought of these two series as in any way related, so this looks kind of random to me. lol 

Yes my thoughts exactly so if Nintendo is just publishing it that means Nintendo is letting Koei use the Zelda license and not actively participating in the making of zelda so this will be interesting to see.

Well, they were only publishers on all the other titles I mentioned, so they've let other people handle their franchises before. But yeah, it's weird having a Nintendo game that looks like the gameplay is based on a non-Nintendo game.

Think about the possibilities it might just open up finally for the Wii U. This might just be the thing to encourage more games from other developers to be made for the Wii U. It atleast might be a step in the right direction if anything

Don't get me wrong, I'm not rooting against it by any means. I hope it can get something done for Nintendo. I'm just not quite as excited by the project as other people are, but more power to y'all!

In fact, I watched the Nintendo Direct over on Captain N's blog, and the game I'd want most would be Chibi Robo. I'm weird, I know. lol

This looks pretty cool. I never really got into Dynasty Warriors, but I liked what they did with Fist of the North Star. Maybe have pig Ganon as an unlockable characterr?

That would be a great idea for a character, Id love to see that verison of Ganon in it! I have yet to play FOTNS, I need to grab it eventually.

Never played a Dynasty Warriors game but I'm sure I'll have fun trying it out with this.  Not the first time Nintendo and Koei got together for a mixup.  Last year we had Pokemon Conquest.

I heard Pokemon Conquest was atually a pretty good game. I have so much excitement for this title! You need to try out Dynasty Warriors when ya can good sir!

I was so close to getting Pokemon Conquest but like all Pokemon games, i got turned aside by the kiddy-fresh graphics. I gotta get over it and just get it. It seems like a game I would like.
