What do I mean by power? Not too much but Playstation Live is a pretty incredible feature and one that is underestimated as a major function of the PS4. The great thing about this is how it binds us together. Its cool being able to peak in peoples' homes that bought the PS4. I have watched countless streams and came across so many demographics. I have seen some hilarious comments and of course plenty of trolls.

I for one like this since I feel a bit alone when it comes to socializing about games. It is one thing I loved the most about the integration of online gaming. This now is taking it a bit forward, yet in a bit ackward way at times. I think there is a lot of further potential with the Playroom and how so many people are utilizing to broadcast themselves during chill session. Its cool to meet these people. Instead of simply utilizing Playroom to make more game DLC. It would good if they do something to encourage these broadcasts. There are people constantly watching and broadcasting so its popular.

Now I think this is a nice start with what Sony has came up with, especially considering how easy it is to set up. It would be nice to get keyboard support. That can though be a double edge sword since people broadcasting would have a lot to keep up with when it comes comments. I think it would be nice if people though can be pick a live broadcast from country, subject, and such. It would be also nice if we can favorite someone to watch their live streams without searching. We see other people commenting, it would be nice if there is a way to check their profiles and how about being able to have an actual bio. Anyway, I like what I have seen with Playstation Live. There is a lot more untapped potential and lots of people seem to be digging it.

NOTE: Before posting this, I saw employees in a gas station have a PS4 setup and chatting with people while they worked.

I'm not sure if I'd like this or not.  As I'm getting older, I like playing games alone more.  I can see that chatting live would make communicating easier though.

These people are not playing any games. They are sitting around bullshitting about video games and random things. People do the most random things and talk about everything from sports, politics, favorite whatever, and such all while hanging out. Its purpose can meant for watching and discussing a specific thing but your seeing these actual people in a Live Stream that are not utilizing it to play a game but to simply broadcast theirselves full screen in front of everyone.

I think the fixes you proposed sound cool. I also think Twitch TV is a cool thing. I'm not sure I can look at people playing video games without getting bored though. I watch Let's Plays, but only if they have funny commentary, and I don't mean the people who annoyingly try to imitate AVGN with their jokes.

A lot of people like right as I type this have three people drinking beers. One guy is over 70 years old and is looking forward to Destiny and a few other specific titles and said he beat Knack in one sitting. It is great to see the diversity of people who game and to be able to get a glimpse in their homes. I really don't care about people acting like they are trying to broadcast themselves in a legitmate way who are nobodys but its people loving video games. I plan to broadcast myself but simply to chit chat with others because I love to talk about video games.

Ah, ok. Since I don't have these games and such,  the chat element is lost for me. That makes more sense now.

I blogged about this during the first week of Playstation Live, or whatever it's called. Some people are broadcasting "talk show" style videos, with call-in numbers and all, yet others just get wasted or yell expletives at the messages. It's cool, and wierd, and wtf at the same time. I don't know what to think really. Captivating maybe?

Yeah, it is very weird but cool regardless. I saw a 74 year old drunk guy with his son and they both played games. The 74 year old said he beat Knack in one sitting. That is my idol. LOL. I think its amazing to at the very least see the kind of people that are gamers. It really destroys the stereotype people have of us :)

Destroy or reinforce bad stereotypes about gamers. There was an incident where a man took got very personal with his passed out wife on the couch for all to see. I didn't see this, but it was well talked about on the web. I don't think that Sony anticipated gamers would use the system in this way, and I think twitch has removed "Playroom" streams from their front page, or hidden it somewhere, wheras Ustream still displays "Playroom" video along with other gaming vids. I like watching thespartanshow on twitch and PS4, i chat alot there cuz they have been interviewing devs for indie games on PS and its rad, and sometimes chat with people on Ustream. One dude draws anime on his channel, while others just drunk chat, or drink chat, whatever. I kinda like it.

I haven't heard about that but I think it shows way more diversity than ever imagined. I think everything has its bad eggs. People who try to use those people as ammo have a ridiculous agenda in the first place. I seen crazy stuff though. I seen chicks flash their tits, people display weed, and people having big parties. Its nuts but it has been a popular tool of the PS4.

Yeah! There are trouble makers who flash guns and weed, but the commenters are really bad as well, even if it's just a fam or kids, some of those commenters are way out of line. Moderators do take stuff down here and there, but I don't know where it will all lead to. XboxOne hasnt put out a service like this yet, Im sure theyre watching Sony and will add some service down the line to compete. So far, it's just been people goofing around on cam, but there are some knowledgable and nice gamers on twitch that like to talk about games, they are probably streaming themselves while chatting. I've gotten a lot of good info about certain games, tips and hints and such from twitch gamers. It's really cool. Cool
