hey thanks for the update, Spunk a Dunk. That Maestro game looks pretty interesting, and I guess you can't really go wrong for $3. That's like half a pack of cigarettes.
An Apology, a Delivery, and a Plan

Alright, it’s Friday everybody! I mean, it’s gotta be. When I got to work today, I was greeted with a break room full of an assortment of Panera Bread bagels, tons of cream cheese, and lots of orange juice. If today ain’t Friday, then I don’t want to know what day it is. Well, before I talk about my recent game pick-up, there’s something else I’d like to briefly mention.
The Apology
I just wanted to apologize to you kind folks out there following my blog. I haven’t left any comments on most of your recent posts this week and I feel really bad about that. I’ve been taking care of some other priorities that require more of my time and attention over the past week, which leaves me cramped for time in blog-world. I really appreciate the support and comments that I’ve been receiving from both my old 1Up buddies and newly-acquainted Pixlbit readers alike.
Please know that I am not ignoring your blog posts. In fact, I’m reading as many as I can-- I just haven’t had much time to collect a thought worthy of forming into a comment. And I try to avoid leaving “me too” comments solely based on what other people have commented on already unless I truly agree with something that was said and just want to piggy-back off them. Anyway, I’ll be less busy after Wednesday of next week (I hope), so you should be seeing my funny face in your comments sections soon after.
The Delivery
Two days ago, I came home to a small package waiting for me on the table. I gleefully opened it up to find out that Mad Maestro was in it! I ordered it on Amazon last week and was really looking forward to getting it in the mail. I had the demo of this game back in 2002, and I ended up enjoying it more than I expected. It also helped to become familiar with certain classical compositions that I had heard before, but didn’t know the name of the song or composer.
As time passed, I never purchased the game although had plenty of chances throughout the years. Then about a month ago, I started listening to classical musical for a change from what I usually listen to throughout the work day. In the days that came, I started to remember how much I liked that Mad Maestro demo and decided to get the game if it wasn’t too hard to find and expensive-- because you know how online sellers like to hike up prices, especially if they’re one of a few seller on that website that have it (which doesn’t necessarily mean that the game is “rare”). Thankfully, I found a brand new copy for around $3.00.
The Plan
In my previous post, I talked about my desire to re-post all of my old reviews from 1Up. My original intent was to start from the beginning and post everything from the first to the final review from my 1Up years. But Jesse Miller had a good idea and suggested that I just mix them up between posting old and new reviews. The more I thought about it, the more it made sense. And that’s the plan I’m going with. So how will you be able to tell the old ones apart from the new? Look for this tag at the bottom of the review:

If you don’t see that tag in a review, then it means that it’s the latest one I’ve written so far (or in rare cases, I may have forgotten to tag it as “old” and will catch the mistake later). I think I’m going to start with a new review next week just to get things off to a fresh start. To be honest though, you can expect to see more old reviews than new ones at this time because I only have 3 new reviews in my “que” right now. I hope to be able to write more as I get the time to do so.
So that’s it for me this week folks. Have a great weekend. Enjoy whatever you’ll be doing, and I’ll see you back here on Monday afternoon!
