Ready to start some new games in the new year.

I managed (finally) to beat Lucifer yesterday so I can put SMT IV away now.

I've also decided that I'm done with Animal Crossing: New Leaf and have filed it away in the game library where I won't see it and be tempted to play "just another hour".

It's time to play something new.

Maybe I'll play Bioshock Infinite just to see what all the brouhaha and unavoidable backlash is all about.

Maybe I'll finally play more than 10 minutes of The Last Of Us or get past the first level in Devil May Cry. Hey I might even try to get past the dual analog stick part of Ni No Kuni or give Tomb Raider another shot.

So much to play.

I'm going to finish playing through the HD version of Silent Hill 3 first. So far the only thing I've seen that looks glitchy is the fact that Heather stalls frequently if you try to make her run.

Wish me luck and hope that I don't smash my sixaxis while trying to get out of the haunted house for the fifth time.

I haven't played Animal Crossing in a pretty long while, I'm tempted to check up on my town to see just how messed up it is now. And maybe after I actually get around to finishing up Etrian Odyssey Untold, I'll get back to SMT just to see how the other endings turn out.

Good luck!

SMT IV is still sitting there shrink wrapped in my collection. Will I ever get to it? I'm too enamoured with Mario & Luigi: Dream Team at the moment.

I noticed you were still playing SMTIV a couple days ago.  Congrats!  It's over! Laughing

I would recommend to play Bioshock Infinite.  I thought it was pretty good.  I still heed to get New Leaf.

For a game about nothing New Leaf really sucks you in.

I promised myself I'd quit after I maxed out my house but noooooooo, I had to built.a coffee shop, a police station, a light house, a windmill, complete all the fossils  and *sigh* I could have gone on until next summer but I decided after 3 of my townspeople moved away for no good reason that it was time to stop.

But if anyone needs apples, peaches, pears, oranges, lemons or persimmons let me know and I'll plug the game in and let you pillage. :)

Oh and SMT IV got a lot more fun after *spoilers follow, stop now if you don't want to know*

I found the item that lets you fly all over the map.

You could fly all over the map?!  Where did you get that item?! Surprised  I had spent over 130hrs into that game by the time I got to Lucifer's castle.  I wasn't leaving that place until he was dead.  Luckily, I found the terminal there.  The terminals.  Did the item come from finding all the terminals?  I found many of them.  When I got to Lucifer's, I thought I found them all, but I didn't complete that challenge in the game, so I guess I had more somewhere.  At the time though, I didn't care because I found the bastard I had to kill to finish the game.  I seriously almost quit.  I beat him on my 4th or 5th battle.  I was so happy and relieved it was over. Laughing

It was a challenge quest I picked up by accident. I think talkiing to demons did it. You have to clear 3 domains in the Tokyo area and take your findings to a demon. Then exclamation points appear where there were none before. You can take off from one and land at another. There is a certain area of the map you cannot access without the power.

I put in about 159 hours but I spent a lot of time looking for new fusions and picked up a few of the special ones in the process

You beat Lucifer? Well, I'm a bit surprised he existed, to be honest, but on behalf of the rest of the world, thank you sir! We couldn't have done it with out you, apparently.

Y'know, I should have asked for a 3DS for Christmas. Animal Crossing and everything else on there has been sounding good. Whatever, that PC/360 controller was a cheaper and therefore better investment. lol Good luck quitting your addiction! I like the cold turkey approach. I'll sponsor you, should you need any GA meetings.

I'll be looking for most of what you just mentioned on Steam. Except DmC and some of the other newer ones. I did download Tomb Raider despite not having the recommended graphics card, but I'm willing to put up with having to put something I've wanted to play and bought with a gift card on lower settings; not so sure I'm willing to risk buying something I don't have the recommended CPU for, though, even if I have the minimum requirements.

I am a bit upset I missed out on the daily deal for Bioshock Infinite though, cause that too was merely a "meet minimum, but not recommended graphics card" deal, and I hadn't thought about the $50 gift card I had lying around when I saw that. Or maybe I regret nothing, since I have no idea how Tomb Raider will run yet, having not installed it. We shall see. I'm currently debating if I should download Portal 2 and run it at lower settings. I think I might, since systemrequirementslab.com gives me checks on all but the OS, and that was the only problem with Arkham Asylum, which is running just fine.

And actually, those other ones you mentioned appear to be system exlusives, so never mind. lol. I may buy a PS4 eventually, but right now, I'm gonna use what I got.

Good luck not smashing your controller! Maybe I'll play the Silent Hill series one of these days, if I happen to visit my brother and he has it lying around. I think he only ever rented those, though.

ah, to hell with Lucifer!  Glad you finally managed to beat that bastard of a game.  I gave up a while ago.

I'm going to play Bioshock Infinite too soon.  I hope it's good.

Hope you had a nice holiday, Mothman!

Congrats on finishing SMT IV! I hate having games just hang over my head. I'm going to start some new games in the new year too, and hopefully finish some ones that have been long overdue for a playthrough. Mass Effect 3 is first on my list.

Man...I only played the demo of Silent Hill 3, and I got super creeped out.  I'm too chicken to get the game.

Yeah they can be pretty disturbing. I find it humorous that as creepy as they can be they have a silly ending for achieving certain goals and once you have beaten SH 3 you can enter passwords to get costumes for Heather.

I'm doing a second playthrough with Heather in her Princess Heart costume. I also have an unlimited machine gun and a light saber (The Heather Beam)
