A new Year, a good Job and more games than i can possibly finish. Cool.

As per usually London has gone "Sale Crazy" and I've been shopping for clothes comics and all sorts. But I just wanted to show you something I bought as immeadiatly as I saw it.

Yep, at last, i have a Samus Aran Toy, I'm near delirious right now, 5% off and a free bag too Laughing

Eventually i'll get the Skyward Sword Link one but then i'll have to skip a few meals, though i'm skinny enough as it is.

I'm in the process of getting a new Laptop because my current one for 4 years is on it's last legs, It'll have 2gb dedicated graphics which is more than enough for me (and most games I gather) 8gb Ram and a cpu of 2.5GHz (3.5GHz on turbo). But i have to wait till i recieve my company discount card and it's taking it's sweet time!

Anyway, i hope everyone is doing fine and the new year is a good one. Not a real New Years Resolution from me. but i'm trying to control my comic book habits

"I will only buy the first volume arc of a series and then collect the rest in Graphic Novels"

Because i need to control my use of space, it's like a nerd cluster in here!

This is V saying "Merry New Year!"

PS. The London West End is lovely at night. Crowed but lovely.

I've been to London before. It was very tight and crowded, but I agree, it was lovely. That laptop sounds sweet. I don't think I'm going to get a laptop of my own until SSD prices drop.

yeah, it's criminal how much SSDs cost despite the lack of moving parts, i'll probably get a hybrid.

That Samus figure looks pretty cool. How much is that laptop your looking at? I want to save up for a new desktop. The one I want costs quite a bit, but it'll be worth it.

The figure is cool.Cool

£420/$689.81 is the laptop, I'll be paying monthly. I wish i had the room for a desktop but a Lapto suits my needs.

What's the job? Sounds like IT if you're waiting for a discount on a laptop.Speaking of which, I know what it's like to have an old one, and hope you can get it soon. I just bought my ASUS K55N-DB81 last summer, and I am loving it aside from some issues like browsers being really slow last night for some reason. They're running great again after I shut it down for a while though, so I may just be using it too much. It was odd though, the Internet connection wasn't the problem, my Steam games ran fine, but my browsers were being shitty. I wasn't even able to download adwcleaner before deciding to shut it down, cause Explorer (the only one going anywhere) was so damn slow. It was bizarre.

I'm not a figurine collector, but that Samus really does look awesome, good find! I also notice the Sonic, Gundam and ... Blazblue? Now I feel bad, cause I think you had a blog where that figurine was featured before, and I forgot where that girl is from. What does Skyward Sword Link look like and cost, I wonder.

I've been so caught up in Steam that I forgot I live in a major city that is also probably going sale crazy, and I want a TV. Also, I got $300 for Christmas. Well, thanks a lot for making me think of spending more money on things I don't necessarily need. lol

My Masters program has been planning a course that will be in London this summer, so I hope it goes through. I don't like crowds in Uptown Cedar Hill (near Dallas, TX) during Christmas, though, so I don't know if I'd be able to handle London.

Odd that you're resolving to not pick up as many comic books, when I still feel I need to read more of them.I only own Watchmen and Batman Noel, which was a birthday present. Other than that I've mostly only ever read old Spider Man and X-Men comics that either my brother had or came free in some capacity.

Happy New Year!

I currently work in Electronic retail (PCWorld) in the audio section, it's pretty fun, I like my co-workers. The Laptop is the HP Envy M6-1310sa, though i didn't get it for it it also has beatsaudio speaker system, the blutooth is nice too, I found HPs very reliable.

That Figurine Is Bridget from Guilty Gear, the blog is here [here]. the Link figure looks like this

about $60 and they'll be a Kid Kid Icarus one soon.

It's not as crowed the closer to the river you are, more walking space. But with all the roadworks, traffic, buildings under refurbishment and people it can feel too much. But what i love about central London is the atmoshere, you don't have to do anything but walk around. However as a resident some places aren't the same as it used to be, that's life I guess.

As for YOUR comics situation

Buyy these Graphic Novels.

Street Fighter comics by Udon (all of them), Kingdome Come, Batman: Arkham asylum, Stray Toasters, Elephantmen, The Book of Magic, Black Orchid, Sandman, Starman, Tale of Sand, Habibi, Grandville, Journey into Mystery (the graphic novels are collected wired look for 622 and over), X-force (116)& X-Static, Shade the Changing Man, Enigma, Batwoman: Elergy, Batman: Black Mirror, Miracle Man (wait till it's all collected).

There's more but they'll... oh the Sonic and Megaman comics. There, done Tongue Out

I see what you're trying to do. Mr. Viewtiful, you're trying to seduce me. You're trying to seduce me with all these recommendations so that you can pass your bad habits along to me. Well, I won't do it, Mr. Viewtiful. I need to keep my money. Well, ok, Mr. Viewtiful, I would very much like to own a copy of Arkham Asylum once I finish the game, and I have always been interested in the Street Fighter universe BigMex kept talking up over on 1up. The Sonic/Mega Man crossover you blogged about seemed like they'd be fun to read as well. I think I'll get some of the all-time favorite Batman comics first, like Killing Joke and The Dark Knight Returns, but I'll keep Batwoman: Elergy and Batman: Black Mirror in mind. But that's as far as I go, Mr. Viewtiful. I put my foot down until I figure out what all those others you mentioned are about. Dammit, Mr. Viewtiful, I will not be seduced into buying so many things!

As for the HP being reliable thing, that's largely why I bought an ASUS when I saw it on sale on NewEgg.com: people kept saying how reliable the brand was, and the laptop itself had reviews saying it was great for the price, which meant it was pretty much everything I was looking for. I'm overall very happy with it. I'm glad you work in a cool place like that. I've always thought I would enjoy a job in electronic retail of some kind.

And I knew I recognized that character! How did I forget? Guilty Gear X2 is still one of my absolute favorite 2D fighters, from what I can recall of it.

$60 doesn't sound anywhere near as outrageous as what I was thinking. Still expensive for such a figure, from my perspective, but it looks like you get a lot with it, so that it appears properly customizable. I do have to say though, the face looks a bit feminine, even moreso than some say the OoT illustrations of Adult Link do. I think it's the redness of the lips and the fact his milk-white face makes it look like he's wearing foundation. Also, the earrings on the head on the bottom, plus the fact it kind of looks like a whiter version of an angry Sheikah to me, give that impression as well. Still, the fact it looks like you can pose him to be unleashing a charged Master Sword attack is pretty awesome, and I can see why you want it.

As for the atmosphere of cities, I agree with everything you said, as it largely applies to areas of Dallas as well, though to a lesser extent, as I'm not sure Dallas feels as large or consequential or unique as I imagine London might. Not to rag on my city, I do love Dallas, but it's not a "magical" place to me, the way people view New York, London, and the like.

Trust me, ask any Londoner and they'll tell you this city is sh!te! Laughing But you have to live here to get that point of view. I think it's universal to not "big up" the metropolitan city you live in.

Be thankful i only gave you a drop of reading material, there's sooo much more.

Yeah, I kind of figured. The grass is always greener when you're a tourist, and aren't paying $500 in taxes every time you sneeze or take a shit, like you do in NY and I imagine London. lol
