I currently have no logical thought process at the moment. I don't know if I can even put together full paragraphs, so I am just going to put together as many thoughts as I can of things that have happened and such over the past month or so...
I failed in my final goal of 2013. I did finish Call of Duty Ghosts, but I did not actually finish Toy Story 2 for the psone. I got to the final boss and decided that I was done with the game. Close enough.
I gave up on Ghosts multiplayer fairly quickly because I kept dying. The reason I kept dying is a little embarassing. I kept second guessing who was on my team. I like the Red vs. Blue of Halo, no doubt who I need to kill.
Since I finished Ghosts, I decided to pick up Killzone: Shadow Fall. The game is gorgeous and at least I know who to kill in the multiplayer. It is not as blatantly obvious as Halo, but at least I know that one team has a red glow and one team has a blue glow to thier face...
I bought and finished Tearaway. It is probably my favourite game of the year. That is saying something because of my undying love of A Link to the Past, which got a sequel this year that was amazing.
I just booted up Assassin's Creed IV. I have not played an Assassins Creed game since the first one. That game was majorly disappointing, but I hear that they fixed a lot of the problems that I had with that game in the sequels. I put about an hour into it and I think that I will be able to get a decent amount of entertainment out of it.
I have also become enamoured with Cookie Clicker. I feel as though my soul is being sucked from my body because of this game. I just cannot leave it be yet. There are still a handful of acheivements that I have not unlocked yet.
March is looking to be an amazing month in gaming. Infamous, Dark Souls, Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy X, South Park and Titanfall.
I have become very behind on the podcasts that I normally enjoy because Doctor Who. Big FInish has done these amazing audio plays with the classic doctors and they are amazing. Colin Baker is amazing, had he been given stories like these when he was on television he probably would have never been fired. He is an amazing actor, or at least voice actor.
I have become distracted by Cookie Clicker and these guys thekindredspirits.bandcamp.com so I think that it is time to quit trying to write an already difficult to follow blog...
my brother really likes the new Assassin's Creed game, more than I expected, which is pretty cool. He liked Killzone okay, but I think AC really was a lot of fun for him. HE's been playing it nonstop for like a week. He's playing it right now.
I need to buy Tearaway. I bought Ninja Gaiden Sigma for my Vita last night. I love that game too much. Now I'm trying to decide between Tearaway and Lnk Between Worlds. But I'm also playing Wind Waker and don't want to play two zeldas at once.
Tearaway had been on sale for the week or two before Christmas both at Gamestop and on the PSN. I am starting to wonder if I would have loved the game as much if I had spent the full price on it.
A Link Between Worlds is amazing, especially so if you like A Link to the Past. Tearaway is just an amazing platformer, I don't feel quite so bad having missed out on Super Mario 3D World because I did get to play Tearaway. It is a tough decision.
I heard about Cookie Clicker on the One of Swords podcast and there's this hilarious episode where Hugh is told about the game and then begins it during the episode and then can't stop. Dan tells him to stop but he can't and you keep hearing Hugh clicking throughout the show.
The game sounds hilarious, delivering the very essence of what makes a game addictive and little else. Get more Grandmas to make more cookies? Ha!
I have twelve achievements left at the moment. Hopefully I will be able to finish those before the guy updates it again and adds more. He put out a Christmas update that added a 6 or so more acheivements to the game. It sounds like he is working on adding dungeons to explore...
Dungeons! Now I'm getting interested. I want to click that cookie. Click, click, click...
I found it pretty easy to follow, actually. I think Killzone: Shadows Fall looks gorgeous, too. It's the one ad I don't mind blip showing me over and over again.
I've heard that Shadow Fall is gorgeous but dull. I guess there aren't a lot of PS4 exclusives right now though. I looked up those Doctor Who audio plays just now and I'm surprised by how many there are! One more thing to potentially get caught on lol
The biggest reason that I have gotten hooked on the Big Finish audio adventures is because the first 50 in the Doctor Who monthly range are $3 apiece...
Yeah March is looking great. I 95% sold on getting FFX day one for the Vita but am undecided on whether to splurge on Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes just yet. Games that are released on muliple generations always concern me so i'm going to wait for reviews to see which is the definitive version. I've no problem waiting until I grab a PS4 eventually to play it if that proves the superior.
I do really want FFX, but I already have a dozen or so rpgs on my Vita. all of which I have not actually played.
haha well good call then. I just finished P4G so am ready to jump into another finally.
I really need to get to watching and listening to the classic Doctor Whos.
Well, I am sure that I will mention them again. I am a massive doctor who fan.
Sadly I have that same problem in halo itself, and they are color coded! Enjoy ACIV! moreso since they killed the Online Pass that was in the game. That should make the game all the more enjoyable, unlike the other titles in the series before it.
