This great series comes to an end today, and I'm sad to say so. Thank you to everyone who has spent the time to look at them and comment. I hope I've been able to pump some NES nostalgia into your life. These last six games came out closer to the end of the NES life cycle; some were even released after the Super NES had launched. Please enjoy!

You can find more of my artwork at deviantart.com. Things I've drawn include all 80 robot masters from the original 10 Mega Man games, Final Fantasy posters from 1-13, and a bunch of other stuff. If you dig this, you might enjoy my other stuff, so check it out here.

I think that this might be my favourite collection of these.

Awesome! Can you give me any specific reasons why?

Nice work! Thanks for sharing your artwork. All of these games are great. Although whenever I think about Battletoads and Ninja Gaiden it's usually not pleasent lol. I kinda have a love / hate relationship with those two. They are insanely difficult!

Your're right about those, Abobo! I have a copy of Ninja Gaiden, but I don't enjoy playing it because it's so hard and frustrating. However, these two games were important in the industry of gaming, and are considered classics despite their difficulty.

Still looking great. The Bionic Commando arm reminds me of the design for Dr. Octopus in the 90s Fox Kids version of Spiderman.

Me too, actually. I envisioned the protagonist shooting his bionic arm out at the camera when I decided to do this game.

hmmm.  never heard of Nightshade.

these look good.  I especially appreciate Bionic Commando.  I love that game.

Nightshade is an under-appreciated NES game that involved puzzles and action. It was a dark yet comical hybrid game, and it's pretty good. You can read my review of it here. Now you can't say you've never heard of it.

That's a mean Dr. Wily and poor Kirby ate some bad stars!

Actually, Kirby is sucking in the stars, but I can see what you mean.

Shows how much I know about Kirby games. I really want to play Epic Yarn though. Love the graphics in that game.
