Aerora Again? Welp, I'm Dead...

After (finally) getting a chance to play the Bravely Default demo, here's my initial impression!

The battle system was a lot easier to wrap my head around than I thought it'd be, the same goes for the job system. For some reason I thought it'd be way more complicated than it was. I only got to play a little, which was just about enough to get me hooked. Hopefully I'll get the money together to get this game by the time it comes out, though that's something I also said about A Link Between Worlds and I still haven't gotten that yet.

There's so much to do in that demo and since you get stuff that carries over into the real game once you are finished you really should complete the demo first.

It's not that hard as long as you pay attention. My biggest problem at the beginning was that I hurried through the opening bit and then ran out of town and started trying to kill stuff without any prep whatsoever. I learned quickly that it was a bad idea.

I really liked the brave/default system. Towards the end I was just maxing out brave for everyone and the enemies usually didn't get a turn. In fact my ninja could party wipe most enemy groups while the rest of my party stood around watching.

My brother warned me against that, too. Even then I had a few close calls due to not having some better equipment.

I love that I saw Robocop in full after I had that actor established in my head as Red Foreman by that 70s show. It made the movie that much more enjoyable.
