Top 40 Most Anticipated Games of 2014

Holy sweet slobbering sabretooth, Batman! There's a Brobdingnagian enormity to the amount of potentially awesome games coming out next year. So much in fact, that I couldn't whittle the list down to 20 — as originally intended. Instead, I had to just double that number to show you how awesome 2014 could potentially be.

This list will be split up into eight parts, released at intervals which I shall discuss with David "Sexy Sailor Man" Gutsche in order to actually go into some details. Probably twice a week. That seems reasonable.

Also, please keep in mind that only the top 20 are in any actual order. The rest shall be organised to keep each article interesting.

So without further ado, let's kick it off with a game for you hardcore gamers!

It's already looking interesting and if 40 is the total number I can't wait to see what else you highlight...... shame door kickers isn't as you described in the first paragraph, I would love to take revenge on those 'wooden bastards' because they have caused me so much grief in my gaming life....need a key? I just heard there will be a new Star Wars Rogue Leader game this year. It was the first one on Gamecube that led me to buy that system. I hope this one is for Wii-U so I have another reason to get that.

Door Kickers reminded me of Hotline Miami. It kinda looked similar with the overhead view. I'll be looking forward to more lists. Especially since I can actually play some of these games on PC now lol.

This will actually be a good series for me. I have very little idea of what is really coming out this year outside of Destiny, The Order, inFamous and The Witcher. I need more games to be excited for.

Destiny isn't on my list because Bungie have proven themselves to be arrogant assholes who can jump off a cliff. Seriously, fuck those guys.

Which is why I think this list will be good for me. I like Bungie, but that is probably because I have known their work from the beginning. I have no problem with Destiny not being on this massive list, I want to know of other games to be excited for this year.

Clockwork Empires for me. I've put more hours into Dwarf Fortress than I have any other game. If CE can reproduce the same appeal, it will be the new game of forever (until the next DF update).

I've been intrigued about Murdered: Soul Suspect since I first heard about it - so basically it's the Sega Genesis game The Haunting meets Die Hard? Um that's a big ol' yes from me!

Also looking forward to The Witcher 3 and, of course, Dark Souls 2. Alien: Isolation looks interesting; hopefully, that game doesn't pull a Colonial Marines and royally shit the bed.
