When Larry King starts selling you pills, it's time to go to sleep, so I will soon. A bit miffed I missed a Steam sale on Braid, which I just saw in my e-mail. Oh well.

Anyway, I wrote a wordpress blog. So that happened. Been tired all day. Going to sleep now.

If this infomercial was simply Larry King staring at me and repeating the phrase "this is how I've beaten the cockroaches at the longevity game; Richards uses it, too" over and over again and holding Omega XL next to his face, it'd be a lot more effective. I don't really care that grandma can open jars now.

Everytime I see a late night infomercial, I always think of Opus the Penguin from the Bloom County comic strips. Google them if you aren't familiar with them They were brilliant.

Yeah, I knew what he looked like from when I'd read the Dallas Morning News comics. I forget, though, did he always have that fruit hat?

I am familiar. I used to read them in the Dallas Morning News Sunday papers.

I missed that sale on Braid too and was kinda pissed.... but then I remembered how much I suck at puzzle games lol. What's up with your avatar on Wordpress?

I figure Wordpress is a bit more public, I swore a lot in that blog, and as technically a University official, I felt like hiding my face might be the way to go.

What kind of a friend actually wants to hear all of that crap, right now?

I'd kind of like to be invited to do a critique on midget porn, I really do think it could take off. Or are you talking about Buzzfeed's original statements? Yeah, I don't know.

I was talking about the original Buzzfeed statements.

I did rather like your response to #3.  Actually they are all great.

So, when can we expect the critique of midget porn?

Infomercials, the bane of television. I guess the saving grace of them is the hilarity you get watching people being way more incompetent than in real life.

They should really hire more convincing actors. Grandma had already gotten that jar mostly open before the cameras started rolling and I could tell.

In the blog, the bolded parts in quotes sound like how teenage girls might look at friends. The part below it is the male version. Anyway, good blog.

Yeah, the article was written for girls, and the unbolded parts are the ones I wrote based on the bolded Buzzfeed article quotes. Thanks.

Oh that list in your blog is comedy, especially #11 about the State Schools.

This is what happens when you fall asleep to the Fox Sports 1's version of SportsCenter, you miss Larry King selling pills.

Thanks, I meant it to be Laughing.

In fairness, I do feel that for my field I get a good education. Undergrad was more hands-on than other RTVF departments can be, because of small class sizes and more intimate settings, and I love the opportunities I'm given by my current graduate enrollment. But overhearing some of the conversations on this campus, and certain things professors have to explain on public college campuses when they shouldn't have to (I remember a girl from UT Austin saying there were kids in her classes who didn't know mean, median and mode, and some of these were top 10% high school grads! Surprised) let you know we can't  all be Ivy leaguers. Well, we can, ignorance isn't equivalent to inability, but it would seem some are more likely than others to succeed in certain  ways. SFASU is known for Education and Nursing, though, so I imagine those folks are fairly intelligent. It's all relative. Look at me, overanalyzing my own humor.

And I actually was on Fox (51 for me, it would be channel 4 back home in Dallas), but I was watching American Dad and Family Guy/reading my textbook before Larry king came on. How'd you guess?! lol

I always tell folks who are about to go school, it doesn't matter where you go, it's what you make of your oppritunity and what you get out of the place. The UC schools (Berkley, LA, etc.) like to look down on the State schools and they chant "State School" or "Safety School" during basketball games in which SDSU is blowing them out. When they start with "State School" our student section counters with "We're A State School" and "You Should Transfer" chants.

Haha, I guess everyone watches Fox late at night. I'm watching for the thier Fake SportsCenter on an endless loop, you watch for Family Guy, Larry King selling pills

I never really understood infomercials, they just seem like a way of exploiting people with impaired judgement due to lack of sleep.

I think you understand infomercials.

that reminds me that I need to see about this game on XBLA when it goes on sale again. I've passed on it since it pushed the 'artsy" angle on why this game was awesome. I need to see about dusting off my wordpress blog. I'm told if your serious about blogging you need an independent site to post your blogs as you post them on other user generated sites. Perhaps I should try blogger...

I don't mind a game pushing itself as art as long as it either manages to actually be such, or is fun.

Are you meaning serious as in making money? It's a pittance, but Google has AdSense you can get in on. And yeah, a lot of the well-known bloggers seem to use paid-for Wordpress sites.

I was mostly told to do such for ownership reasons, to show that the blog was of your work and not just done for the user generated sites. I guess it could be used to help showcase your work if you ever intended to try to make money off of them. I guess just having them saved in MS word isn't enough these days. Never thought of the money angle. Doubt anyone would want to go to a no-name blogger in a sea of no-name bloggers in the expansive genre that is videogames.
