I don't know if I will do the full 29 days, but I am going to blog on the first weekend of February as kind of a pre-BaD introduction. I might take breaks on the other weekends though.
Some BaD Thoughts To Write About.

Greetings and salivations to you all. Its been awhile since I posted anything here but I have been keeping up with most things on the site including Matt's awesome idea of doing Blog-A-Day again. I'm pleased to announce that I'm be join the fun/madness. I already have a plan of what plan to write about sort of. One week will be devoted to a fighting game preview week for 2014 that I've been itching to write and another will be devoted to Wayfoward games I like (that you should totally play) Beyond that though, I'm not sure. I was thinking about things I haven't written about but always wanted to try write sometime things like reviews, semi-serious pieces, and even ask me anything blog. I'm trying to better prepare myself versus last year which I kind of had no clue and made it very challenging. Then again, I also did the stupid thing of blogging 7 days a week for 31 days instead of 5 days a week and 29 days. Even crazier is the fact that I might just do the 31 days again because I got a sort of challenging fun from writing that many days straight but I just might not do it for 7 days straight. Which is kind of the point of me of writing this blog.
Forgive the rambling above, but the post above did a have a point smuggled into it. It can be pretty hard to write a blog-a-day if you can't think of anything to write about. Trust me, I know. So while I was thinking about what I was going to write for BaD, I came up with many other ideas. Too many ideas but ideas I figured they might help someone does have a clue which isn't a bad thing per se. However, I know a lot of people might use these ideas as a jumping point or just different ideas to keep in mind. So in no particular order:
-
Do a retrospective on a series you like or have never played
-
A BaD over trying out an MMO for 28 days
-
A BaD over trying out a month of ranked match in a competitive game
-
Clearing out some of your back stock of un-played games
-
Indie media (games, music, movies, art, etc) showcase
-
A video game company profile
-
Favorite video game peripherals
-
TV Shows should be video games (or TV Shows that shouldn't be that are)
-
Favorite You Tube Channels/ Streaming Channels
-
Building a PC gaming rig
-
Gaming Issue That Your Passionate about
-
Favorite Gaming Magazine
-
Favorite Non-Gaming Hobby
-
Photo blog-a-day
-
Favorite Video Game Artist/ Cosplayer
-
Favorite Video Game Music Band
-
Favorite Video Game Cartoon
-
ETC...
These are just some ideas to hopefully get people going. I know I plan to revisit this list when I can't think of anything to write. Hopefully this will help not only the people who were planning to do BaD but also new people as well. BaD is really fun, kind of therapeutic in a way too. I really do hope people do try it out even if they don't do BaD for the whole month. Well that's all I got for now. To close, here is some wonderful music by Stewart Ashens playing a violin: Wonderful Sound, Strange Shape.
