Hey Pixlbit, I saw this two items pop up and I thought I'd share them with you good folks, hopefully there is something you might like. Have a good rest of the week!

Google Play Sale

The Google Play Store is having a sale on Grammy Artists with a pretty good sale, with some good stuff being priced at $1.99. If you wanted to check out some of the Grammy winners here is a good inexpensive way to do so. Other albums are also on sale from $3.99. Also there are some freebie tracks you might want to check out including Lana Del Rey's Once Upon A Dream from the new Maleficent movie.

Nintendo Heading To Smartphones?

Interesting read, check out the article here. I'd like to see something that will work with the games in the Nintendo library, or maybe some updated form of the Game & Watch stuff.

Hope you all find some good music!

That's all for now, more later!

-Chris

Unfortunately the Google music store doesn't work in Canada. :(

Danm, you would think Google would have all their Store features working for everyone in North America.

The Nintendo thing isn't that exciting, but I'm glad their marketing/advertising at least is beginning to move into the 21st century.

As for Google Play, I'm once again off to score some freebies. Thanks for the heads up!

Yup. I do want them to try something new since they're getting their feet wet in the App World. Maybe start here, and work their way into have a Club Nintendo app, and hopefully actual games.

No problem, one thing I like about Google Play is that they offer a lot of freebies, as well as discounted music.

Nintendo is so stuck in its ways. They should have done this app thing to promote its games years ago. That they are not actually bringing new games, but only demos and videos of their console games, shows how unwilling they are to embrace what a whole lot of people, especially kids, are already using to play games. Why don't they do something unique with their franchises on these touch devices? They just want to control both hardware and software but the public is moving to phones and tablets and not buying Wii-U game pads or 3DSs as recent sales have shown (or at least not with the numbers Nintendo wants). You have to adapt or be left behind Nintendo.

I agree. Nintendo should have taken advantage of this earlier, and maybe incorporated it with the Wii-U/3DS. Something as simple as logging into your Club Nintendo account, and adding your points to actual classic games would have been nice. Heck if they did something like what X-Box and the Playstation have where you can see if your friends are online, your trophy/achievement info, and other features.

Hopefully this is a step in a positive direction for Nintendo.

Man, they are so behind the times.

I just saw the Skylanders Wii-U bundle at Gamestop going for $249. It's the 8GB model though. Tempting.

Oh man, I almost bought the most recent Skylanders set when Best Buy dropped it to $59.99. So close but I don't know if I want to start buying a ton of figures. That bundle sounds interesting, but 8GB seems low. Can you upgrade the hard drive?

I don't think so. I'm holding out for a price drop on the Deluxe 32 GB console.
