I still don't think I'm particularly good at self-description, but here I go anyway.
Apologies in advance if this comes out to be more jumbled than usual, as I'm fighting the urge not to go through with this and I'm on a bit of a tight schedule.
Hi there, my name's Esteban. If I had to describe myself in one word, it would most likely be 'akward'. The reason being that I have a lot of eccentricities and personality quirks, most of which I'm probably not even aware of. Ultimately, I don't think I'm all that interesting, but I'm okay with that.
I've been playing videogames for about as long as I can remember, some of my earliest memories include watching my older brother playing Super Mario Bros., asking him if I could have a turn and repeating myself over and over again when he would pretend he couldn't hear me. I wasn't allowed to have games of my own that weren't of the Tiger LCD variety until I was older, which was right around the time the first Pokemon games came out.
Currently I own a Wii, (barely functioning) PS2, and 3DS. I wish I had the money to get everything out there, but whatever.
Other than that, I have a pretty robust music collection (see what I've been listening to recently here), and I dabble in writing and art, though I haven't drawn much in years. I also have a bit of an obsession with trivia and learning in general. It came in handy during my school years, and lead to more than a few moments where I was just about the only one in the class who got the joke the teacher told.
If there's anything else you'd like to know, please don't hesitate to ask. As long as it's not too personal of a question I'll do my best to answer. Now to click 'Post' before my resolve fails me...
Ok, bye.
Because I'm a shameless self-plugger, it looks like your music collection is very similar to the one we have at http://ksauradio.com.
I've become more obsessed with learning everything I can as well, but more recently.
Any favorite games/systems?
As far as systems go, probably the Game Boy Color. I was practically glued to the thing for years, and went though so many AA batteries. As far as games, that's a little tougher because I change my mind about it nearly constantly. Currently it's either Fire Emblem: Awakening or Shin Megami Tensei IV. I have a deep preference for handhelds, if you couldn't tell already.
That's funny, cause the only game I had for GBC was Pokemon Pinball, and I'd say DS is one of my favorite handhelds, but I have action/platformers like Castlevania/Mario and the rhythm game Elite Beat Agents, but tend not to like JRPGs much. I have given serious thought to rebooting Golden Sun on my Game Boy Player, though.
