Do you have one?

When I was younger I used to be able to bend my thumb back at an akward angle. As I got older it became increasingly difficult to keep it up and now any time I try to to it, all I end up with is a sore thumb. I also had a habit of making odd vocal noises when I was bored and thought no one else was paying attention, which eventually was noticed by a few people. They said I had some potential to be a beatboxer, but performing in front of others just isn't my thing so I didn't explore that much further.

Aside from that, hopefully by this time next week I'll be delving into the world of Bravely Default. I've been looking forward to this game for a while, at the same time keeping my expectations in check so my head doesn't get full of ideas that I'll blame the game on if it doesn't have them.

I've also decided to keep up that idea from the last blog for the rest of the month, so if there's a question about me you've wanted to ask, go right on ahead. If it's not too personal, I'll answer it.

Ok, bye.

Half of it comes from an e-mail address I still use, the '3590' portion was me thinking I was clever (3+5+9+0= 17, which was my age when I came up with it). The 'SquadLeader' part was a bit of an afterthought honestly, though it was partially inspired by 1up's examples for screen names when I was signing up.

My secret technique is that I can touch the tip of my nose and the bottom of my chin with my tongue.

That's interesting. I just tried it and couldn't make it nearly that far.

My "secret technique" was mashing the shit out of buttons. My older brother would get so mad at me for not telling him how I was doing the E. Honda thousand fists thing, but I genuinely had no idea myself.

This also pissed people off at arcades when I beat wave after wave of dudes saying Tekken took skill by doing the same thing with Yoshimitsu. Hell, I did that suicide move by accident a few times, and still managed to win by what one kid said was cheating. Y'know, it's not my fault if a game lets me do that.

I also make noises to myself at times. It's an odd habit, but I don't think it's so bad. My friend did it last time we had lunch.

I'm pretty fast when it comes to button mashing. The index and middle fingers of my left hand are way faster than my right, which lead to some innovative controller holding when the time called for it.
