Did you buy an Xbox One? Mistake.

If possible, take it back. It is being outperfomed by the PS4 in nearly every way: price, sales, system specs, and game performance. It is an embarassment really.

900P vs 1080P: Xbox loses. Ps4 wins. 30 fps vs 60 fps. Xbox loses again. $500 vs $400. I think you get it. Rid yourself of the shitbox one now before you become a laughing stock. The time of Xbox is over. May I even suggest the WiiU as a superior alternative?

To each his own, no? Live and let live, I say. My console of choice thus far has been the Wii U and I don't see that changing any time soon. I'm sure there's something to like on every system out there - for instance, I'd love to dig into Dead Rising 3 and Resogun, but I'm not willing to plop down the cash for either system until they attract some more games that I'm interested in.

I have a long history of dislike for Xbox. I feel that MS changed gaming for the worse. I had to watch as most in the United States abandoned Playstation 3 for 360 after PS1 and 2 provided so much enjoyment for gamers. I stayed loyal.

Well now it is time for Playstation to reclaim it's rightful place. I've waited a long time.

That's kind of a silly way to look at it. New technology and shifts in consumer demands has shaped and changed gaming. Sony's PS3 and PS4 are a reflection of those changes, much like the 360 was. The only company really clinging to the "good ol' days" is Nintendo and that has provided for some rough times for them.

And honestly, if you feel Microsoft changed gaming negatively, you can't possibly look at the PS4 as something you want then. It's effectively a system built on the strengths and legacy of the 360, not the PS3. Furthermore, you should be happy about Sony's temporary fall from grace. In that time frame they built up a power house of development and expanded their IP dramatically. They are much better placed as a result of it and will benefit going forward.

Truthfully though, you really shouldn't get so vested in the "console war." Competition is good. You don't want companies to get blown away because it ultimately has no benefit for the consumer.

I liken my like for Sony to one rooting for their favorite team, Smack talk is common. If MS had not forced the change, then Sony wouldn't have pushed the online components so hard. That is why I blame MS.

You do have a point about competition; however, I would prefer another company to rise up. I would like to see MS driven out of the game business.

The difference between rooting for Sony and a team is that other teams doing well hurts your team. When the Eagles win, that means my Cowboys have a tougher time making it to the playoffs, so I have a damn good reason to dislike that team. When Sony and Microsoft don't do well, we all win because they have to go to great lengths to one up the other guy. Things like creating new IPs like The Last of Us and making sequels as good as they can be like Uncharted 2.

Oh, and the console wars are so much fun to me. It is like a game in itself.Cool

Why are you still coming to these sites if you gave up gaming?

You could say I relapsed a bit. I still don't own any games, but enjoy going to VGchartz to see how the new war goes. I have been thinking about coming back to gaming, but I have to do some spiritual searching first to see if it is okay for me. Besides, I've missed writing and you guys.

Why always so much hate against my passion for the extinction of Xbox? It really is nothing personal against you.

Seems like I followed you all the way here from 1up GM, I thought you gave up your gaming ways, so why are you even here in the first place? Go find something better to do or else.

Or else? If you know me, you should know threats don't scare me off. Also, read my reply to Greenman.

The reason why I don't have an Xbox One is because there isn't anything right now I'd want to play on it.  Maybe in a year or two there might be.

You may not want one if things keep up like they have so far.

Xbox 1 had a bumpy start and yeah, I raged about it for awhile. But it was a positive thing microsoft finally listened to its' user base and toned back the collective jerk-baggery.

If Sony had no competition the company would become complacent and lazy. Love or hate the Xbox 1, it's better the system is still around. Rivalries with other businesses make developers push forward into new frontiers. A ying thrives more with a yang. It's common sense and physics at work.

Personally I'm bias in favor of Sony but I do not believe they are a saintly angelic collective of benign cherubs who would never do me wrong. Sony is out to make money too and they will likely try to get away with just as many anti-consumer policies if given an inch to take their mile!
