Games I Beat:

Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon (3DS)

 photo Luigis_Mansion_Dark_Moon_011_zps0ceb6196.jpg

I beat this game last night and I'm happy to say, "It's over".  This is one frustrating game.  I lost count the number of times I was going to quit.  I don't understand why Dark Moon gets so much praise.  Luigi is such a bastard to control! Yell  The ghost enemies are cheap punks too.  Which wouldn't be so bad if..., Luigi wasn't such a bastard to control! Yell

Mass Effect (360)

I lost count the number of times I finished this game.  It kept me sane while I was stuck in bed with gout, which is better by the way.  I started wearing shoes again a couple days ago. Smile

Games I'm Playing:

Mass Effect 2 (360)

I always play this game right after I finish the 1st one.  It also helped me deal with my Dark Moon frustrations.  Right now, it's the only game I'm currently playing.

I would like to start up a new game, but I don't know which one.  I have too games to choose from.  I should probably start up on of the many Wii games I own.  The other day, I'm flipping through my Game Informer and they have a top 25 Wii game list.  I own 18 games on the list.  Most of them I hadn't touched.  I should get on that.  I also have a few Tales games I would like to start.

Games I Bought:

Shank 2 (360) - It's on sale on XBL.  Wish the 1st game was on sale too.

Mirror's Edge (360) - Saw it on sale too.  Been meaning to get this one for a while.

Games Preordered:

Bravely Default (3DS) - It comes out in a few days.  I'll probably start it soon.  I still hadn't played the demo.  I really hope I enjoy it.

I've been playing a 3DS a lot.  Mostly at work.  I got my 3DS less than 6 months ago and I already finished Shin Megami Tensei IV, Fire Emblem: Awakening, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, and Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon.

That's all I have guys.  Not much going on my end.  What are you guys playing?

I bought Mirror's Edge (again!!) on PC the other day. That game can be frustrating, and it's not perfect, but it was one of my favorites from last generation. I'm glad to hear that your gout is better.

I remember reading somewhere that Mirror's Edge had it's problems.  I start it up a couple days ago just to play around a bit.  I enjoyed it for awhile until my son wanted to try it out and then I never got my controller back. Smile

Mirror's Edge isn't perfect, but it's so unique.  It's cool.

Glad your gout is getting better.

I read somewhere that there might be a sequel to Mirror's Edge.  If I like the game, I'll probably preorder the new one, if it ever happens.

Been too long since Mass Effect appeared on here. Not sure when I'll replay it but I'm sure it'll happen soon. I should get back to Luigi, I liked what I played

I hadn't played Mass Effect in about 3 months.  I'm amazed I still enjoy playing it so much. Laughing

I heard the Bravely Default demo is original content not in the final game. I think it unlocks some things too if you complete so might be an idea...

I'm glad to hear your gout is getting better. My dad gets it bad at times so I have some understanding of how uncomfortable it can be.

Hopefully, I can finish that demo before the game comes out.  If not, I may put off the game and play through the demo first just so I can get whatever the extra stuff is.

I vaguely remember getting my 3DS around the time that you picked up yours.  I feel far less productive than you because I only think that I finished two retail releases since I picked up mine.  I spent plenty of time with Etrian Odyssey and played through the Gameboy Zelda games though.

I would probably have more games finished, but I spent so much time on SMTIV.

I was foolish and I picked up SMT IV.  I shouldn't have because I know that I will never actually play it.

Glad to read you're feeling better, mate.

You used your time better than I have, I have sooo much to complete Tongue Out

For days I didn't play much of anything.  I just laid in the bed in pain.  I watched a little t.v. and fell asleep.  I'm glad those days are over and I hope they never come back. Laughing

Just bought Dawn of sorrow and Ghost Trick for DS and been replaying Metroid Prime with my new GCN controller.

Luigi was sometimes hard to control in GCN original, when ghosts would pull him every which direction while vaccuuming them.

What's Shank 2? Interesting title. lol

I really like the original Luigi's Mansion.  The control in the 3DS game is worse.  I really miss having that 2nd analog stick.

I think Shank 2 is a side scrolling action game.  I hadn't played it yet.  It looks cool.

I very badly want to play through the Mass Effect trilogy again, my backlog has been keeping me from doing so though.

Mirror's Edge was the only game in the PS3/X360 generation that gave me motion sickness. I did beat it, I could only play it in 30 minute segments.

I kept myself from playing the Mass Effect series for 3 months.  I didn't want to get pulled back in, but with all the stuff I was going through, I needed something to help me happy. Laughing

When I first play the Mirror's Edge demo years ago, I got a little motion sick.  So far, I'm haven't been sick.

Yeah, at first I got motion sickness but the more I played the better it got.

I don't know man, for me Dark Moon looks very fun and i've enjoyed some games with control issues (like Skyward Sword and Epic Mickey). I'll see what I make of the game once I play it.

It looks fun, but it has it's frustrating moments.  I spoke with my wife about it this morning.  She finished it about a month ago.  Her problems with the game are very similar to mine.  We vented about the game in the kitchen and laughed.  It's funny thinking about it now, but at the time when we were playing the game, it sucked.  She almost quit more than a few times too.  It's not a game neither of us will play again any time soon.  Hopefully you won't find the game as much as a pain in the ass as we did. Laughing

Well I'm glad you beat Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon.  Despite what you may think about the game, don't you think the ending was just ADORABLE!?!

I've got Bravely Default on preorder, too.

Yeah, it was a cute ending. Smile

Thanks.  It's nice being able to move around and go back to work.  Staying in bed for days was boring. Cool

Good to hear you're getting better. I have a friend who has gout and it sounds painful

My dad takes meds everyday to keep from getting gout.  I hope I don't have to go through that.

I hear you about Luigi's Manion's controls. I had some issues too but I want to go back and finish it. i loved the graphics in that game.

That same sale you mentioned had Alice: Madness Returns for $7. I couldn't resist that. I almost bit on Mirror's Edge and Catherine, but I have to keep spending under control.

Wired's Game/Life podcast this week talked a lot about Bravely Default. I've played the demo, but I'm still not 100% sold on it yet.

jgusw

Yeah, I have to keep my spending under control too.  I still buy too many games though.  I usually find ways to buy more games with less money.

Glad your gout is better. There are few things worse than being laid up in bed in horrible pain. I hurt my back four years ago and was on bed rest for a week. Thought I was going to go insane from boredom when I wasn't being wracked by agony.

I really have to play ME one of these days. My cousin Sean is always on my case about the fact that I've had the game for several years and still haven't played it.

Mass Effect is an awesome game.  If you like sci-fi and take your time playing through it, you're going to love it.  Mass Effect is my favorite.  I finished it over 30 times.

The 3DS rules! I didn't think handheld gaming could possibly get any better. I can't count how many amazing games the 3DS has. Its like their pumping out great games every week.

Damn straight.  I'm glad I choose getting a 3DS when I did.

You know...there is more to life than Mass Effect.

How about this Wii titles you've yet to play. Which reminds me, I need to bolster my Wii library. Physically or digitally.

I have almost all the Wii games I want.  I can only think of a few titles I would like to get.  Hopefully, I can pick them up this year.  I'm currently thinking about starting a Wii game after I finish with Mass Effect.
