BaD Broncos, Good Clydesdales

Well, I was rooting for the seahawks, but I didn't want the game to be boring. My ex girlfriend's current boyfriend/soon to be fiancee (they've planned the wedding already, but he is gonna surprise her with how he proposes; yes, I'm invited, if you're wondering lol) is a huge Broncos fan. She assured me he will drink down his sorrows when I told her to cuddle him for me, cause that loss must have hurt. lol

On the plus side, people seem to like that cute Clydesdale/puppy commercial I guess. I was too distracted by talking to my friend and his girlfriend while the girlfriend helped me with an online dating profile to really pay attention/be able to hear a lot of the ads etc., so I'll look those up on Youtube later. Also, my friend found this:

Never mind, apparently it has been buried on the funny subreddit, so here's this instead of the cake that combined the two team logos into one.

The Halftime show I made everyone shut up for. My friend's gf thinks Bruno Mars looks hideous, but we both agreed he is a fantastic old style (not that he's old, but if you compare his act to that of a lot of black entertainers in the 70s-ish, you'll get what I mean) entertainer. I wish RHCP had more than one song, but I'm glad they worked in "Give it Away." One of my DJs says RHCP is his favorite band, and he said he liked how they did it, so can't complain too much. Honestly, for my money, that was the best Half Time Show that aired in my life time (1990 to now), so I'm sad less people will remember it cause the game was so terrible.

By far the best part of the broadcast for me.

I started Ghost trick last night and I dig it so far. I wish the intro went a bit quicker, but I was right there with the main character being confused, so I guess I needed it. It does all make sense now, and is a fun premise.

I'm loving the story as well, I'm curious as the main character is.

I played Dawn of sorrow before then, and so far like it best of DS Castlevanias, but the magic spells you cast by tracing with the stylus are a bitch. I seem to have gotten the hang of the first one and beat the first boss, but it took me a number of tries that is too damn high!

Well ... I know how to make a V now. It was a lot harder than it looks, ok?

hat's it for me, gotta finish my paper before 4pm.

I tend to watch the Halftime Shows because one of my former band directors in college is also involved with the halftime show prep/performance. This year's show was good and even though I'm not a big Bruno Mars fan, he did a hell of a job. RHCP should have had more time, and I made a comment to one of my friends that they forced Flea to wear pants.

I was rooting for Denver, but I spent most of the game just talking trash about how Tebow would have won this game, and anyone named Manning is Jinx'd at Metlife Stadium. I wish the game was more competitive but things like that happen.

You Californians and your connections to cool things, like Halftime shows and Disney (granted, a lot of SFA students go to Disney Land/World in college). Well, I'm coming to L.A. in May for a two-week course, so let's see what I can do. Wink LOL about Flea's pants, but he does come out in what he had on, sweat pants and no shirt, fairly often from what I've seen. I definitely agree that they should have had more time.

And yeah, the Seahawks Tebowed the shit out of the Broncos. Sorry, man. Frown

It's all good, I rooted for Denver just because everyone else rooted for Seattle. I usually root for the teams that have Aztecs on them if the Cowboys aren't in it (I miss the Triplets). Both teams had representation, so either way it was a win.

If you're coming to LA, check out those Hollywood Tours. My mom and aunt to my other aunt who was visiting from out of the country on one and Larry King was out waving and what not.

Larry King can wave?! Or his his female house nurse doing that for him? I'll try to check the tours out.

But what do you mean by "everyone else?" I think Facebook defined that phrase very differently. lol Actually, wait I see a little blue dot in North Cali. So I guess that's what you meant? haha

Oh Southern California loves a bandwagon. Those people rooting for Denver needed to justify the Chargers loss. They will probably be new Seahawks fans in the coming weeks. Before the NFC Championship game, the local grocery store was full of folks in Niner gear...new Niner gear.

At least now I don't have an excuse not to watch the half-time show. Liking it so far.

Yeah, having to draw those patterns in Dawn of Sorrow takes some getting used to. Especially some of the more complicated ones later on.

You could always use lack of time or disinterest as an excuse, but I'm glad you're not/didn't. Smile

I should pull out Dawn of Sorrow again.  It has been quite a while.

I enjoy it so far, but I am not as dexterous with the stylus as I thought.

I wasn't pulling for either team, so seeing the Bronco's get stomped after the media hyped the match-up so hard was hilarious. From that ridiculous missed snap, it was just a comedy of errors through and through. :p

Really liked Bruno Mars's performance, too.

I'm glad people who saw it liked the performance, that makes me feel better.

I was barely paying attention, and every time I looked up, Seattle scored.

Ghost Trick is AWESOME!  I'm not going to tell you who the main character is. Hee hee hee.

Good, I don't want any spoilers!

I never could get the hang of using the stylus on DS. Why does Nintendo's modern systems have to be so damn gimmicky all the time?! My brother gave me a Wii, but I got rid of it because the motion controls pissed me off so bad. Sorry if that has nothing to do with your blog Joe lol.

It relates do my blog, and if it didn't, I wouldn't care. I like conversation about pretty much anything, as long as it doesn't become an argument. I'm a big fan of learning new things.

When the Wii first came out, I thought the motion controls for Twilight Princess looked awesome, and would simultaneously make me look incredibly stupid, cause the first thing I'd want to do with that tech is swing a sword. However, I also thought, "what's to stop a company with a more powerful machine from just patenting similar tech for their hardware?" And that's one of the reasons I believe my Nintendo console purchases will end with the Gamecube. Hell, unless I buy a PS4, my console purchases are just done. ... But I really want a 3DS and a PS4, and I've become a lot less responsible about how I manage loans. lol

Man, seeing Flea again brings me right back to the mid ninties when I was playing music. Got chills just watching him play.

The choreography for that halftime show was incredible. I wasn't all that into the music, though. As for the game...I had no real feelings either way in terms of who I wanted to win, I just wish it had been a less lop-sided game.

I felt about the same; to be honest, I only rooted for Seahawks cause I like rain and a lot of their musical artists, so in a way it's fitting that the Half Time Show was the best part for me. I also liked the actual music. Don't always like Mars, but he kept it to his classic style songs I enjoy, and of course seeing an honest-to-God rock band at the Superbowl for the first time since The Who or The Rolling Stones, however briefly, was great.

I too found it interesting how the two teams came from those states. made me wonder if any advertisers would try to sneak in a jab or comment about that in their ads if only to gain underground status.

I wouldn't exactly call pot smoking "underground" at this point, it's generally accepted that most everyone under the age of 30 (myself included) at least knows people who have smoked it or tried it themselves. I honestly didn't know both states had legalized it.
