BaD #01: Thus it begins...

Thus it has begun! May the BaDs being! Also I know I should’ve said something earlier but Happy Chinese New Year everyone! Over the weekend my wife and I celebrated the year of the horse (not year of the Whores, thanks for that BBC!) like we usually do on any other Chinese New Year. Sure it’s not as fancy or as fun as spending it with her family but we did what we could at the local restaurant we frequent, as well as doing some well-timed shopping to bring in the new year. I can’t wait to see my family and share the fun of what I found for them. Normally I don’t tell much in what I do exactly during the Chinese New Year, in actuality I only shared happy new year greetings with former 1uper Kadey Medion. But since she’s become too busy to be much of a blogger these days I just refrain from such online activities of that nature. But I do admit I have a red envelope with her name on it….

Because of the weekend celebrations that didn’t involve the Superbowl (and ouch by the way) I found that time to add a few more digital games to my collection. I’ll write about them eventually but I’m right now trying to find a way to write about my new acquisitions when I really don’t have a means to show them given they are digital titles. I think I’ll “borrow” some techniques from other bloggers given that I’m drawing a blank in how to write up my latest “MyBuys” blog. If any of you notice me copying your writing style I apologize in advance.

As for the Superbowl, let’s just say this video sums up my thoughts on what exactly happened that day.

I’m still trying to come up with some specific theme to write about with my BaD’s this year, if only to make my blogs a bit more meaningful than just my basic exposition dump into what makes NSonic79 tick. I have some ideas but for now I think I’ll just go with what flows from my finger tips for now.

As you can see I’m starting to sport a 5 o’clock shadow now. Or it’s just that today I had better lighting and you can see my face better. I’m still cutting off my head in my shots but that’s what you get when you try to take pics from a tablet.

Wise BaD Message of the Day: The world may be your oyster, but that doesn't mean you'll get its pearl.

According to the Bowl game, not the year of the horse, but I was born in '90, and still feel this is my year (rooted for Seahwaks, though I wanted a better game), so ... maybe this year I make lots of money by becoming a man whore? I plan on going to L.A. for a week, so it makes sense.

It probably is something different. There is the recognize one and then there is the traditional one. I don't recall the second and I'm too scared to ask my mom for fear she'll yell at me for forgetting.

Well ifyou win the powerball your dreams may just come true!

In your first paragprah, do you mean there is a traditional vs. a recognized Chinese Zodiac? Cause I actually do think 1990 and 2014 are horse years, I was just making a joke that according to the Super Bowl, it's not really a good year to be a horse (or Bronco, rather).

yeah there is. it's not generally known to many but there are two diffrerent recongnized zodiacs depending from which providence/region you speak of. It's the same thing were some peple only take one day off from the new year compared to others who take a whole week.

There are times where jokes go right over my head. Sorry for that =P

It's probably my fault for unclear writing. Oh well.

I heard a Wilhelm screem in that video. Yes the sound file used for movies up to the present time. Here's the first use of it in Distant Drums (1951).

Ah yes. That scream has had a long journey thru our movie history, from pixar shorts to The Lord of the Rings. It's rather fitting we now see it done in internet videos with similiar effect.

I just heard it in a Twix commercial too. It's definitely used for humor now.

the beard is coming in... slowly.  Honestly, I love my beard.  I wish I could grow it down to my waist, but then people will probably think I'm totally nuts.

Or taht you were a member of ZZ Top. I'm not sure I'd go that crazed but you never know.

Much like Snee, I am noting that your beard is starting to grow. Can't say the same for my hair, which doesn't have a problem, but it's slow to grow.

So far it shows it's growth. But let's see how it goes as the days go by *sinister laugh*

Your beard's growing out faster than mine would in the same timeframe. Which is pretty much the reason why I don't shave all that often.

There are times when I consider my fast hair growth to be a curse. I wouldn't mind sporting a 5 o' clock shadow longer than a day.
