Not having anything iOS, sometimes I feel a little left out. But just sometimes.

Mikey Shorts is a 2D platformer for iOS. It’s a simple game but plenty of fun. The virtual controls work extremely well, with arrows for running left and right and buttons for jumping and sliding. I never had any problems getting Mikey to do what I wanted.
Mikey Shorts is not a long game. I finished the 24 story levels in one sitting but the challenge levels, of which there are 60, have so far proven more, well, challenging. The action is fast and responsive and the levels are very short, perfect for gaming on the go. The point of the game is not blazing through the content. No, Mikey Shorts is designed for speedruns. You can earn up to three stars on each level based how quickly you get to the finish. The game thankfully tells you the target time for each star level, and restarting a stage after a mistake is instantaneous with a single button press. Offline, global, and friends learderboards add the element of addiction for those who get into this sort of thing. The pixel art is basic but has personality and the music, while unremarkable, fits the game well. The gameplay is the star here.
You can get some crazy costumes for Mikey
If you like shooting for high scores, Mikey Shorts is a great game for you. If you just want a fun little platformer to kill some time with, it’s also a good choice. With nearly 5 stars after over 100 reviews on the App Store, Mikey Shorts is a good use of 99 cents even if, like me, you just finish the content and move on to something else.
