You know, I was planning to do a blog telling my thoughts on the first season of Game of Thrones, but since I did something similar yesterday with the book series and I can't seem to think of something original to write about, let's have my first filler for BaD and do my forgotten series of music posts (which I prefer over pandas and cat gifs).

Haven't really listened to stuff from either band, but I will say that I do love Post-Rock in general. It's so relaxing and ethereal and it's great to listen in calmed moments.

Dig "God is an Astronaut." Childish Gambino song was on Rap Critic's top 10 of 2013.
That list is exactly what made me discover the song. I don't regret it one bit.
I love QOTSA, probably in my top 5 bands to be honest. I think this song is my favourite on their latest album and a great song for the car.
I too love QOTSA. I sometimes can't decide if them or Red Hot Chili Peppers are my favorite band.
I found out about Kyuss from Guitar Hero Metallica of all places.
Considering that Kyuss is regarded as a legendary band not only for Doom Metal but Metal itself and that the guitarist Josh Homme would become one of the leading figures of modern Rock (he created QOTSA after all), I can see why Metallica liked them a lot and put them in the game. Man, I wish I can play Guitar Hero Metallica.

I heard about Childing Gambino from the comic Li'l Depressed Boy. I wasn't sure if it was a real music person or not. Now I know.

Don't worry, take your time. I think Lost Kingdom fits your quota for winter songs, so I think you will enjoy that more at this time of the year.
