this is the kind of thing I'd like to experience after eating mushrooms, getting high, dropping acid, smoking opium, sipping cough syrup, and drinking coffee. only then -- will i be in the true state to enjoy it.

Friends, I come today bearing great news that will change your life. For my painful last night of insomnia, I had incidentally stumbled on a goldmine of an unknown venture of a popular fighting game franchise. Specifically I'm talking about Street Fighter which pretty much everyone knows about. Everyone also knows about in the 1990's how popular the franchise was, creating many media spin offs. Movies, cartoon shows, and even comics were well known popular culture mostly due to how bad they were. But apparently that wasn't enough for Capcom. Oh no, it would be Capcom if they did something without over doing it. Brace yourselves, because the next video may forever change your perception of Street Fighter...forever. PixlBit-ers (as well 1UPpers) I give to you...Street Fighter II: The Ride!
Yes, that was a thing. If you didn't get what was going on, understandable since no other footage exist without the riffs or that is better quality, here is the gist of it:
-
Street Fighter II: The Ride is an interactive theater ride, probably where the seats moved around in time to the action of the screen, by someone named Showscreen.
-
While there's not real info about it online, the Ride seemed to have been planned around after and based off of the movie (so 1995-ish) because I features the characters from Super Street Fighter II as well as the goofy tone of Ryu through out the ride ( “This is getting weird, man!”)
-
The “plot” (?) is that we are in rocket sled things with White Gi and Red Gi Ryu and Ken as we try and stop M. Bison from entering the real world. You know, the plot of Street Fighter 2 basically.
-
During said flight we meet a notable cast of SF fighters fighting in portly rendered 3D that makes the first two Street Fighter EX s look next gen by today's standards. Run into Vega, Barlog, and a Sagat who does...whatever the hell he was doing. I think it might have been his standard forward throw but man that still doesn't look right.
-
After defeating the incredible growing Bison, we fly back, or rather crash back, on a carrier where we are congratulated by Guile, Cammy, a very disturbing Dee Jay, T Hawk ,and some random black guy. I'm not making that up, there's some random black guy thrown in at the end for no reason and I can't figure out who he is.
Unfortunately, I can't find any evidence that Street Fighter II: The Ride was a real ride. However, I can tell you that Capcom did do another interactive ride with franchise that makes more sense to do, Resident Evil, in Japan in 1999 which was. Still I would love to go on this ride...well maybe not. I might wait and see how the pros ride it. You know, see which seats are top tier, which are broken, interesting seat riding tech that comes out from it. Or know what, screw it. I'll wait for Super Street Fighter II: The Ride. They'll probably put in 5 new seats and fix the balance problems as well. Would you ride SF II: The Ride? Place your thoughts down below, see you tomorrow!
